Attack on Titan Season 2 Coming in 2017

FINALLY!! Fans of giant babbling naked people chewing on tiny innocent Asians rejoice at the news Attack on Titan season 2 finally seems to have a round-about date of arrival in 2017. No overly dramatic, super cheesy live action film could satiate fans who were originally told they'd see more Titan animated action in 2016 and so..we waited...and drew pictures...and bought toys...and made costumes...and went on theme dates where we stayed in character the whole time only breaking to do mundane things like pay checks and go to the bathroom. No one goes to the bathroom in the Attack on Titan world.

Toy Fair 2016: McFarlane Toys Redcap Collection with Assassin's Creed Movie, Attack on Titan, Spawn and More

UK Toy Fair is roaring along now and our friends on the show floor are eyeballing the latest in geeky plastics and plush. McFarlane Toys generally doesn't show much in their space at their UK Distributor Star Images' booth, but this year, I suppose they want to amp up the excitement! A new line of action figures called the Redcap Collection was premiered, featuring licenses including the new Assassin's Creed movie and video game, video games Titan Fall, Gears of War and Mass Effect, Anime Attack on Titan, Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul and returning to the pegs for the first time in many year.... the comic book anti-hero SPAWN!!

With a display flashing back to McFarlane's original Spawn toy premiere at Toy Fair many moons ago, all (most?) of their items at Star Images are mock ups, so it is difficult to get a sense of the articulation, but the scale seems to be within their standard action figure size (see Walking Dead/ HALO). McFarlane have upped their action figure game significantly over the years, so i'm sure these will be welcome additions to many a casual and old school toy collection. NOW LET'S DROOL!! ...

Attack on Titan Live Action Movie Trailers

Here's a little story about a sleepy little society existing within 3 walled cities. The walls are massive and imposing, meant to keep out the fearsome Titans, a mad race of giant creatures ever hungry for human flesh. These monsters roam the countryside, occasionally beating against the great wall but never imposing much of a threat the brave rangers can't take care of. All seemed peaceful...until a new Titan appeared and took down the wall.

The insanely popular Manga series and equally popular anime are now getting a live action film, coming this August! Here are two trailers to give you a sense of the psychotic action and ridiculous carnage we are inevitably in for...

NYCC 2014: Attack on Titan Getting Plenty of Love

Peeking around every corner of New York Comic Con 2014, certain things become instantly clear. 1. Anime/Manga isn't dropping off in popularity here in the states AT ALL. 2. Among those wide eyes, screaming characters, the troubled citizens who populate Attack on Titan are well represented. As we bounced from booth to booth, we saw many a flying harness and winged jacket...which we are perfectly fine with, as this show rules. Let's check out the goods...
