William Shatner Brown Bagging It
Would I watch William Shatner get drunk and ask potentially hysterical questions? Yes. Yes I would. How soon til we have our ShatTV??!!
William Shatner’s web series, “Brown Bag Wine Tasting,” will premiere on Ora.TV Monday, June 23rd with Food Network chef and cookbook author Alton Brown as his guest. In this first episode, Brown talks about his greatest influences while cooking for Shatner and doing a blind wine tasting – describing the flavors using only cooking terms.

Silent Hill Revelation 3D Interviews & Review
Tis the season for spooky..which means I am working overtime for Dread Central these days! I didn't want you to think I was avoiding you..it's just that daddy has another family in LA and they demand his attention from time to time. I wonder if there's a little Golden Book for that?
I stayed up into the wee hours to crank out my Silent Hill Revelation 3D interviews and a review that sums up my major disappointment in a flurry of curse words, Bay Watch comparisons and a nod to Hellboy 2. Having loved the first movie so much, writing this review felt a bit like slaying a horde of demons that had taken residence in my brain. I just can't understand how people that claim to love the first film could make something so completely bad. It boggles the mind.
At any rate, I know a lot of you are Silent Hill fans too, so be sure to READ THE INTERVIEWS (or Part 1 of the interview series where I talk to Director Michael J. Bassett), then DIVE INTO THE REVIEW..in that order, for maximum enjoyment. It also lays out the order of my experience, so you could see how my excitement was pumped up by the director and cast....annnnd then smashed upon the rocks below later that evening. Enjoy!
UPDATE: Read all my Silent Hill Revelation interviews, up now on Dread Central!
Part 2 with Adelaide Clemens
Part 3 with Kit Harington
Quick Note: I'll be leading a Q&A with Larry Fessenden and Glenn McQuaid at a screening of I Sell the Dead tonight in Rahway, NJ, so come join us!

Bellflower Hits DVD and Blu-ray
On Idle Hands, we talk about an eclectic array of topics, but from a larger view, you are looking at the inside of the mind of the average geek. Most of us like toys, video games, comic books, horror movies, indie films, nerdy television and so and and so forth. Often, when a movie is making a lot of noise on the indie film fest circuit, we make a mention and a note and then we go quiet. Why? Because most of us won't be able to see the damn thing until it comes on on DVD and Blu-ray! This...is one of those times.Bellflower follows two friends as they venture out into the world to begin their adult lives. All their free time is spent building flame-throwers and weapons of mass destruction in hopes that a global apocalypse will occur and clear the runway for their imaginary gang "Mother Medusa". While waiting for the world to end, their call to excitement comes unexpectedly when one of them meets a charismatic young woman and falls hard in love. Quickly integrated into a new group of friends, they set off on a journey of betrayal, love, hate, infidelity and extreme violence more devastating and fiery than any of their apocalyptic fantasies.
This movie is sweet and funny and ridiculous and psychotic all at once...just like most of our lives. The content is starkly real and yet, obviously amplified to the nth degree. After all, most of us have had a bad break up in our lives but how many of you then jumped into your fire belching muscle car for a joy ride to help you forget about it? Bellflower has no shortage of style and vision and past all that, will win you over on charm alone. CLICK HERE to scoop it up today!!
We took some time to talk with writer/director/actor Evan Glodell (who needs to watch Robocop already) and cast members Jessie Wiseman (who shares my fear of movie Smurfs) & Tyler Dawson (who rolls a mean cigarette) to talk about love, life, psychotic romances, Lord Humungous, crying in the editing room and how Mel Gibson's hair would stack up in a battle-to-the-death cage match against Nick Cage's hair. Two hair enter...1 hair leave.

SDCC 2010: Jackass 3D Dumps the Retarded Into Your Lap
Some movies uplift the human spirit. Some challenge you to think in a new way. Some touch your heart so deeply you feel it might break and some present you with visuals so beautiful, it brings a tear to your eye....And then there's Jackass.
Jackass transports you to a time when you were 11 and convinced your best friend he could absolutely jump off his roof on his skateboard, eat an entire tub of ice cream in 5 minutes and convince people who passed on the corner that you were homeless with no legs, but still retained a fantastic bulge in your pants. The Jackass crew held onto those memories and as they got older, their technology and resources to champion stupidity got more advanced. Now, we get the pinnacle of those great strides. Jackass 3D.

Of course, you are now filled with questions pretaining the the pure SCIENCE behind the Jackass magics!! Team Idle braved the streets of San Diego to bring back this video in which we ask "How do you come up with the most painful shit that looks awesome in 3D?"
