In 1979, the Starship Enterprise flew its very first big-screen mission in “Star Trek—The Motion Picture,” and to mark the film’s 40th anniversary, Fathom Events and Paramount Pictures will bring this awe-inspiring adventure back to movie theaters for two days only, on September 15 and 18.
Tickets to “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” are available beginning Friday, August 2, at www.FathomEvents.com or participating theater box offices.
In its first nationwide cinema release since the film premiered in December 1979, the original theatrical cut of “Star Trek—The Motion Picture” will include the film’s soaring overture by famed composer Jerry Goldsmith. Preceding the film, this special presentation will also feature the behind-the-scenes documentary short “The Longest Trek: Writing the Motion Picture.”

Star Trek: Voyager Returns to Comics
IDW Publishing is proud to announce the first-ever comic book foray of the starship Voyager into the Mirror Universe under the license of CBS Consumer Products! This October, the Star Trek: Voyager: Mirrors and Smoke one-shot serves as the first of several excursions into the realm of dark doppelgängers, followed in time by one-shots focused on The Original Series and Deep Space Nine, respectively.
Written by Paul Allor (G.I. Joe) with painted art by Star Trek fan-favorite J.K. Woodward (illustrator of the beloved Mirror Broken storyline), Voyager: Mirrors and Smoke introduces Captain Janeway of the Voyager, a rebel ship stranded in the Delta Quadrant, far from the ruins of the Terran Empire. When Janeway crowns herself Pirate Queen of the Quadrant, the locals – including scavengers Neelix and Kes – won’t give up without a fight. Amid this conflict, the crew of the Voyager has a second problem on their hands: just who is the Terran calling herself Annika Hansen, and can she be trusted?

Worlds Collide in Star Trek vs. Transformers Comic Book Crossover
The starship Enterprise finds there's more to the final frontier when Kirk and his crew come face-to-face with the strangest life forms of all: the shape-changing robots of Cybertron! Prepare to beam up and roll out this September with Star Trek vs. Transformers, a four-issue comic book crossover that is more than meets the eye and is inspired by the continuities of two iconic cartoon shows: Star Trek: The Animated Series (1973) and The Transformers (1984).Two of the most prolific Transformers and Star Trek comic book writers -- John Barber and Mike Johnson -- team with artist Philip Murphy and colorist Leonardo Ito to tell the story that fans have demanded for decades. At the edge of Klingon space, the Enterprise answers a distress call, discovering a dilithium mine under siege by jets and helicopters of vintage 20th Century design. When a red, flat-nosed truck rolls in to save the day, the no-holds barred Saturday morning mash-up truly begins!

Star Trek Beyond Trailer #2 Is ...More ...Star Treky?
It's an interesting thing, and it comes up more often than we realize, especially with "geek" properties. There are translations of our favorite comics/cartoons/what have you that seem faithful...made by people who actually LIKE what they've seen and wish to make a feature film that would make the original creator smile from ear to ear and give fans something to cheer about and beg for more. The first trailer for Star Trek Beyond was lacking in..shall we say..Star Trekkiness. It may as well have been a preview for a generic space adventure fueled by rock music and peppered with scantily clad women and men who inexplicably lose their shirts mid-battle. After binge-watching the entire run of Star Trek: The Next Generation, I am no closer to pinning down the exact elements you NEED in any property claiming connection to the Star Trek mythos, but I know what it feels like, and like most fans, I can tell when it's missing. The second trailer for "Beyond" takes several steps back in the right direction...

Toy Fair 2016: Mezco's One:12 Collective Impresses On All Levels
Last year, if you would have asked a seasoned collector to point at the most impressive action figure line of the moment, you would probably see many a finger pointed squarely at the Hot Toys 12 inch lines. This year, not only do they have a great deal of competition in their own category, but Mezco has stepped up with their One:12 Collective line and looks to raise our expectations, forcing the rest of the pack to re-think what a quality collector product should look like.
Redesigning the 6" scale figure category by combining posable action figures with real cloth outfitting, in a similar fashion to the 1/6th scale and larger collectibles. Mezco's One:12 Collective line will present a multitude of different characters from numerous brands.
