The season after that was like when Buffy died and they puller her out of heaven and she was all fucked up because THEY PULLED HER OUT OF HEAVEN!!!IdleHandsBloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05710248532359680328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290093642464784915.post-91389088925434059182015-06-01T12:58:56.497-04:002015-06-01T12:58:56.497-04:00I don't watch series finales to shows I haven&...I don't watch series finales to shows I haven't been watching, but I absolutely look online to get a sense of how the ending is being received by fans. I don't often commit to a TV show unless I know they have a specific season by season plan (Spartacus and Hannibal for example) or until it's finished. I don't need there to be a proper crowd pleasing finale before I commit to that first season, but I definitely want to know approximately how much I'm going to be left hanging. Watching Carnivale *knowing* it didn't have a proper ending made that last episode way more enjoyable than it would have been if I didn't know ahead of time.

I do think a lot about Hannibal though. If they'd been cancelled after season 2... god... what a finale that would have been.Ryan 'plagiarize' Achesonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07380722424724549624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290093642464784915.post-73797159219567970532015-06-01T12:22:56.614-04:002015-06-01T12:22:56.614-04:00From a sort of psychological standpoint, I think p...From a sort of psychological standpoint, I think people who have never really watched the show but watch a season finale just want to belong. They know it's a hot topic and their friends will most likely be talking about it the next day, at work, online, everywhere..and they want to be a part of that conversation, whether the material they watched has any context for them or not. Stems from the foundation of society and most people's urge to want to fit in, if even only in this small way.IdleHandsBloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05710248532359680328noreply@blogger.com
