SDCC 2025: Toxic Avenger Takes Hall H By Storm

The Toxic Avenger left a radioactive impression on Hall H featuring panelists Writer & Director Macon Blair, Troma Co-Founder Lloyd Kaufman, Peter Dinklage, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay and Taylour Paige moderated by IMDb’s Head of Programming Bret Federigan. 

In addition, the cast attended the Comic-Con Premiere Screening of the film at the Digital Gym Cinema and afterparty at Gaslamplighter Karaoke Cocktail Bar on Thursday, July 24th.

SDCC 2025: MARVEL’s New Cosmic Order Revealed

For months, Marvel Comics has teased that IMPERIAL, the four-part epic by visionary writer Jonathan Hickman and superstar artists Iban Coello and Federico Vicentini, would usher in a new era of cosmic storytelling. Just now at the Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, fans learned exactly what that meant with the announcement of five all-new ongoing series spinning out of IMPERIAL later this year!

In addition to first looks for upcoming IMPERIAL WAR one-shots, Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski, VP & Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, and writer Stephanie Phillips revealed the first wave of ongoing series set in the new intergalactic landscape created by IMPERIAL: PLANET SHE-HULK, NOVA CENTURION, BLACK PANTHER: INTERGALACTIC, EXILES, and IMPERIAL GUARDIANS. All five titles are set up in the IMPERIAL WAR one-shots releasing over the next few months and begin launching in November, starting with PLANET SHE-HULK by Stephanie Phillips (Phoenix) and Aaron Kuder (Daredevil) and NOVA: CENTURION by Jed MacKay (X-Men) and Álvaro López (Predator: Black, White & Blood). Both Phillips and MacKay are also writing their series’ respective IMPERIAL WAR one-shots.

SDCC 2025: Gen V Levels Up at Comic-Con

On Friday at San Diego Comic-Con, fans packed the Gen V panel as Prime Video debuted the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of the acclaimed spinoff series set in the Emmy Award-winning world of The Boys. This season of Gen V introduces key events and revelations that feed directly into the final chapter of The Boys. The first three episodes premiere September 17, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Cast members Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Hamish Linklater, and showrunner Michele Fazekas took the stage for the exciting panel, which was moderated by franchise fan favorite cast member, P.J. Byrne.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and companion series Angel mark their hotly anticipated return to comic stories from Dynamite Entertainment and Disney’s 20th Television, ushering in a groundbreaking new era of the mythos.

Eisner Award-winning Kelly Thompson will be taking on the comic book franchise, as the master architect and writer for both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Buffy and Angel are two of her most ambitious projects to date, after over a decade of fan-favorite and critically acclaimed work including Absolute Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, It's Jeff, Hawkeye, Rogue & Gambit, and Deadpool — as well as stories based on cherished properties like Jem and the Holograms, G.I. Robot Chicken: The Complete Series Coming to DVD 10/7

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment invites fans to relive two decades of pop culture mayhem with the release of Robot Chicken: The Complete Series on DVD October 7, 2025. For the first time ever, 228 episodes of the Emmy® Award-winning Adult Swim series, including iconic specials themed around DC, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, Archie Comics, Christmas, and more, will be available in one definitive collection. This milestone release celebrates 20 years of the rapid-fire “channel flips” that propelled viewers through Robot Chicken’s twisted takes on nostalgia, pop culture, and everything in between. Fueled by old-school stop-motion animation and a crew of deeply disturbed toys, the quarter-hour show defined a generation of late-night animated sketch comedy. 

Netflix’s Upcoming Adult Animation Slate

Netflix has become a go-to destination for animation with over half its members watching animation every month (from Preschool to Anime, tentpole films to adult comedy or horror).And it's definitely not just for kids: animation is a medium that can be the canvas to tell ANY story, including very adult ones. Netflix unveiled today a fresh look at its upcoming adult animation slate spanning across film, anime, action, thrillers and comedy series. SDCC 2025: The Boys Omnibuses Back to Print

Dynamite Entertainment announces an ambitious plan to go back to press on the full set of paperback omnibus editions of The Boys. This will allow the new inventory to be accessible to the publisher, and to retail partners through new distributors, and timed with the next content from the streaming adaptations on Amazon's Prime Video.

New printings of all six paperback volumes are solicited again in the August for October Dynamite Dispatches catalog, solicited for October 1 release, but planning to arrive in stores earlier at the beginning of September ahead of the September 17 debut of the second season of Gen V and leading to the fifth season of The Boys in 2026.  Therefor these books are on FOC this weekend for retailers to order, and we suggest that retailers order aggressively in case demand is high due to the success of Gen V as the next printings will be printed overseas.   

Dynamite Entertainment Joins Simon & Schuster for Book Distribution

Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce an ongoing distribution deal with Simon & Schuster.

The New Jersey-based comic books and collectibles producer has entered into an agreement with the legendary, century-old publishing house to distribute its trade publications in the book market, joining several other heavy hitters in the comics and graphic novel space, including Image Comics, Oni Press, and others.
