If there was ever a movie that deserves a rock musical made after it, this is my top pick! Buckaroo Bonzai takes an insane amount of the absurd, mixes in SciFi genius and a cast of super charismatic characters to create a cult classic that still holds up today. Where else can you watch aliens named John Bigboote and John Yaya attempt to take over the planet, only to be thwarted by a sharp dressed man and his secret agent band?In LA, The new Beverly stands out as champion to awesome movies like this, often gathering the cast of actors for Q&A sessions along with the film.
