SDCC 2024: Image Comics “Passport” Challenge

SDCC 2024 Image Comics Convention Passport Challenge

Image Comics is pleased to announce a special, commemorative SDCC 2024 “Passport” available for sale ($5, while supplies last!) at the Image booth (#1915) for fans to participate in Image's Passport Challenge. Players will have opportunities to collect stamps from various Image Comics programming around the show floor this week in order to snag a prize.

Image super-fans who return to the Image booth with a passport displaying at least 18 of the 20 total possible stamps from the various “stops” around the show floor will receive a special exclusive item.

SDCC 2018: The Her Universe Fashion Show Returns

The world’s top “geek couture” fashion event, The Her Universe Fashion Show, is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year by returning to San Diego Comic-Con International with its biggest and best show yet. Host, actress, author of “It’s Your Universe” and Her Universe Founder, Ashley Eckstein, will be debuting a very special jaw-dropping gown created by 2013 fashion show winner, Andrew MacLaine. The 5th annual Her Universe Fashion Show will take place on Thursday, July 19th, 6pm, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Diego. Doors open to the public at 5:15pm.

Deadpool Vows to FCancer

20th Century Fox and DEADPOOL have announced a new epic partnership with the fundraising platform Omaze in support of Fuck Cancer!

Announced during the FX premiere of the original DEADPOOL, the partnership provides fans the chance to receive an exclusive, custom-made pink Deadpool suit. A cause close to the Merc's heart, proceeds will benefit the work of Fuck Cancer, the nonprofit dedicated to cancer prevention, early detection and providing support to those affected.

Moviegoers Become Ghostbusters During BET Awards

This Sunday, June 26, beginning at 8PM / 7PM central on BET, during the BET Awards (check local listings), movie fans watching the show will have the chance to become Ghostbusters themselves.

When the specially tagged Ghostbusters TV spot airs during the broadcast, anyone watching the show can Shazam the spot using their Shazam app and bust Slimer, as the famous ghost is captured from the TV onto users' smart phones.

Battlebots Return to TV

ABC has picked up “BattleBots,” a reimagined take of the killer robot combat sport from Whalerock Industries and the creators of the original “BattleBots” franchise, Ed Roski and Greg Munson. The homeade robots will battle against each other, in a single elimination tournament style format, until there is one champion. The six episode series is anticipated to air this summer. MGM Television, which has a development deal with Whalerock Industries, will be distributing the program internationally.

Martha Stewart To Judge Hub Network's Halloween Bash Costume Competition

The Hub Network, a destination for kids and their families, kicks off Halloween early this year by announcing that Martha Stewart will appear as the Halloween expert as part of the panel of celebrity judges scheduled to participate in the network’s nationwide costume competition on the “Hub Network’s First Annual Halloween Bash,” to be broadcast Saturday, October 26. Anyone with a little imagination and creativity can compete for the best costume in America during the nationwide costume competition. Submissions begin Friday, August 16 and 50 semi-finalists representing each state in America will win a trip to Los Angeles to be a part of the two-hour star-studded event. One lucky winner will take home $25,000 and will have a chance at a walk-on role on the Hub Network’s Daytime Emmy® Award-winning series, “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour: The Series.”
