As anticipation builds for the November 18th release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ adventure “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the Studio has announced plans to return to J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World for the next film in the series, slated for worldwide release on November 16, 2018. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.
Wizarding world creator J.K. Rowling, who made her screenwriting debut on the first film, is scripting the sequel.
The second “Fantastic Beasts” movie moves deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances.

SDCC 2016: Warner Bros Destroys Comic-Con with Wonder Woman, Justice League, LEGO Batman, Fantastic Beasts & More
HOLY DAMN!! Warner Bros got the message after the massive debbie downer that was Batman V Superman underwhelmed long time comic book fans across the globe and GREW A SENSE OF HUMOR!! THERE ARE FRAKKIN JOKES IN THE JUSTICE LEAGUE TRAILER!!! IT'S PRETTY DAMN CHARMING!!!! I can't be happier, if you couldn't tell. While Marvel is a great love of mine, my entire childhood belonged to Batman, Superman and the Justice League. When film makers ignore that past...those character notes...and just make what they feel like making, it makes all the comic fans like me very depressed. We drink heavily, pick fights with Anime kids (damn u Homestuck) and yell at PokemonGo players to get off our lawn...well..any lawn. The newest footage shown at San Diego Comic-Con is guaranteed to turn those curmudgeony frowns upside down.

J.K. Rowling Returns to the Wizarding World
Just when you thought it was safe to seal your collectible Harry Potter 3D glasses in a plastic display case, forever containing all the magic of that night when you watched the last film with militant tween girls who stood up at the start of the film and announced "If any of you make one sound during this movie, we will kill you. We promise." Ahhh..memories. Now, J.K. Rowling is making the press rounds, expressing her disappointment with the reception of her "Adult" book and vocalizing a desire to return to the world that brings her sooooo much muggle love.
Though there is currently no official words from Warner Brothers even hinting at a release date or specific details, they have stated the new film will be based on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first-year textbook that Potter uses at Hogwarts school in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Rowling had this to add...
