Introducing... SNOTGIRL!

We don't write about a lot of comics here at Idle Hands...but not for lack of wanting. There are just so many hours in the day and we lack that special individual that is hardcore into comics and on top of all the latest announcements. That is the ONLY reason you will find for me missing a title called Snotgirl. Seriously. Wouldn't you think i'd be all over that??!! You'd be right. We'll fix this..right..meow.

Image Comics is pleased to announce the highly-anticipated new ongoing series SNOTGIRL by New York Times bestselling writer Bryan Lee O’Malley (Scott Pilgrim) and featuring dazzling artwork by newcomer Leslie Hung (now going on it's third print...we are slow..as discussed.) First announced at Image Expo (in May) and teased in the inaugural issue of Image+ Magazine, SNOTGIRL will launch this July (which is now the past).  In SNOTGIRL #1, readers will meet Lottie Person. Lottie’s a gorgeous, fun-loving social media star with a seemingly perfect life—but deep-down is she really just a gross, allergy-ridden mess? Enter a world of snot, blood, and tears in this new ongoing series.

SDCC 2015: Mondo's Collectibles Own Your Retro Heart

At San Diego Comic-Con last year, Mondo stepped up with an Iron Giant collectible figure that made the top of people's heads blow clean off. Brains....everywhere. This year, Mondo premiered their 1:6th scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a mega-artistic Godzilla statue, MADBALLS and more! This company is quickly becoming the one to watch among toy collectors and grown up geeks with a soft spot for 80's properties, so we sent Ben Delloiacono and Emilie Noetzel to spend some time with Creative Director for Toys/CollectibleBrock Otterbacher at Comic-Con 2015 to get all the details on their latest projects.
