Basketball Manga Series DEEP 3 Launching

Publisher TOKYOPOP and Noir Caesar Entertainment, a black-owned indie creative company that supports and nourishes content from marginalized communities across various media, expand their relationship as TOKYOPOP announces the March 2026 release of DEEP 3.

The manga, by creator Mizuno Mitsuhiro and artist Ryosuke Tobimatsu, was originally published in Japan by Shogakukan and has been licensed for North American release by Noir Caesar with print and digital distribution by TOKYOPOP.

The series depicts the on- and off-the-court dramas of a young Japanese basketball player in his quest to become a top-ranked scorer. DEEP 3 was originally serialized in Japan in the manga magazine, Big Comic.

Blue Isle Studios' "Broomstick League" Promises Wizarding Sports Mayhem

Independent developer & publisher Blue Isle Studios in partnership with Virtual Basement announced plans to release a new fantastical competitive sports game today, Broomstick League, coming soon to Steam Early Access. In Broomstick League, players take to the sky to compete against other would be wizards from around the world in a fast paced, high flying, trick shot scoring, all-out battle for supremacy of the skies.

In Broomstick League players divide into teams and zoom across massive arenas atop their trusty broomsticks in an effort to grab the magical orb, outmaneuver other players and score a goal. Sony Pictures Animation and WWE Studios announced today an animated sequel to Surf's Up, the 2007 Academy Award nominated action-comedy about surfing penguins. The companies are co-financing and producing the movie which is expected to release in 2017, in time for the original films' 10th anniversary.  Surf's Up 2: WaveMania will be distributed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment with WWE Studios providing marketing support by leveraging its extensive multi-platform reach.
