Fans and collectors can look forward to an array of McFarlane Toys created DC Direct collectibles under legendary artist Todd McFarlane's creative direction coming in 2022.

Quantum Mechanix Announces Q-Figs for Masters of the Universe

ComiXology Originals and Scott Snyder’s Best Jackett Press Announce Multi-Title Deal

Scott Snyder is coming to comiXology Originals in a big way. ComiXology’s exclusive content line, comiXology Originals, and Scott Snyder’s publishing company, Best Jackett Press, announced today that Snyder will be writing eight new titles for comiXology Originals. The titles will be made available as digital first releases exclusively on comiXology and Kindle with all eight titles collected in print and released at a later date by Dark Horse Books.

With these new titles, #1 New York Times bestselling writer Snyder is returning to his creator-owned roots and collaborating with some of the biggest artists in comics, including Rafael Albuquerque, Greg Capullo, Francesco Francavilla, Jamal Igle, Jock, Tula Lotay, Francis Manapul, and Dan Panosian. Legendary comics editor Will Dennis is overseeing the titles.

“This historic, multi-title deal with comiXology Originals has enabled us to assemble a murderers’ row of artists and together we’re challenging ourselves creatively to work outside of our comfort zones and really lean into the possibilities of making comics,” said Scott Snyder. “This deal allows me the freedom to explore the kind of storytelling I've wanted to try for a long time, while supporting my need to try something that’s not totally comfortable for me.”

Underworld 5 Movie Collection on 4K October 5th

The eternal battle between vampires and Lycans gets upgraded when the UNDERWORLD 4K ULTRA HD COLLECTION arrives on October 5th from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. This limited edition gift set marks the first time that fans will be able to experience all five films on 4K Ultra HD disc with High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos audio. The films will also be available digitally in 4K with HDR.

The UNDERWORLD 4K ULTRA HD COLLECTION will include Underworld (both the original theatrical version and the extended cut), Underworld: Evolution, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, Underworld: Awakening and Underworld: Blood Wars, as well as hours of SD & HD bonus content across all five films, including the Underworld: Endless War animated shorts.

SDCC 2021: Amazon Releases Wheel of Time Teaser Poster

Amazon Prime Video and Sony Pictures Television today revealed the teaser poster for the upcoming Amazon Original fantasy series "The Wheel of Time. The teaser poster was first revealed during the show’s Comic-Con@Home panel, where showrunner Rafe Judkins’ (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Hemlock Grove) also confirmed that the series will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide in November 2021. The full panel can now be seen on SDCC’s official YouTube channel.

The Wheel of Time is one of the most popular and enduring fantasy series of all-time, with over 90 million books sold. Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.

Amazon Studios Adapts Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys

Amazon Studios today announced that it has ordered a series adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s international best-selling novel Anansi Boys. Anansi Boys will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The six episode limited series will begin shooting in Scotland later this year.

Based on Gaiman’s novel of the same name, Anansi Boys follows Charlie Nancy, a young man who is used to being embarrassed by his estranged father. But when his father dies, Charlie discovers that his father was Anansi: trickster god of stories. And he learns that he has a brother. Now his brother, Spider, is entering Charlie’s life, determined to make it more interesting but making it a lot more dangerous.

SDCC 2021: Playmates Toys Returns To The Star Trek Universe

Playmates Toys and ViacomCBS Consumer Products today announced that ViacomCBS has awarded the global toy company with the licensing rights for action figures, vehicles and ships, role play and other toy categories for all Star Trek properties. Playmates will launch its new Star Trek toy line in 2022, following Star Trek’s entry into kids’ content with the premiere of Star Trek: Prodigy, the first Star Trek series aimed at younger audiences.
