Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Premiere Date & New Trailer

CD PROJEKT RED has revealed a brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, and revealed that the show will air on Netflix on October 20.

The newest trailer provides a short, action-packed taste of what to expect from the upcoming 10-episode standalone series, set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

SDCC 2026: Hasbro & Fathom Team for Transformers: The Movie

Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, in collaboration with Fathom Entertainment, the leading specialty distributor of content to theatrical partners worldwide, today announced that tickets for the 4K theatrical return of the original The Transformers: The Movie will go on sale August 7, 2026. The companies also debuted today at San Diego Comic-Con the first look at an all-new post-credits cinematic chapter of the Transformers story, created exclusively for the theatrical event.

Beginning September 17, 2026, on Transformers Day, one of the most influential animated films of the 1980s returns to theatres in stunning 4K and premium large format 4DX in the U.S. and U.K. This time, however, the story doesn't end when the credits roll. For the first time ever, audiences will experience an exclusive addition that gives longtime fans and newcomers alike one more reason to see the film together on the big screen.

Rotoscoped Reimagining of THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE Is Coming

More than five decades after forever changing the horror genre, one of cinema's most influential films is being reimagined through one of animation's rarest artistic disciplines, without any use of artificial intelligence. Dark Sky Films and Exurbia Films today announced that a hand-animated rotoscoped version of THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE is currently in production, the pioneering animation technique used in early Disney classics (Snow White, Cinderella) and animated features including The Lord of the Rings, Heavy Metal, and Fire and Ice). The film is anticipated to debut as an all-new feature in 2027.

The project is being led by Animation Director and Art Director Paul Beck, an Austin-based multimedia artist whose collaborations with acclaimed filmmaker Richard Linklater helped redefine modern rotoscoping. Beck served as a lead animator on Waking Life, A Scanner Darkly, and Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood, and has exhibited his paintings, sculptures, films, and video installations internationally in New York, Berlin, Brazil, Croatia, and Romania.

The Legend of Korra In Concert

Following the worldwide success of Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert, Paramount, GEA Live, and Senbla today announced The Legend of Korra In Concert, a new live-to-picture orchestral experience that brings the acclaimed animated series to life on stage, combining live music with cinematic visuals. The U.S. tour to more than 20 cities will launch in Omaha on January 10, 2027, concurrent with a European leg to 10 cities beginning January 31. The tour coincides with the 15th anniversary of The Legend of Korra, which premiered on Nickelodeon in 2012. The announcement arrives just ahead of next week’s San Diego Comic-Con. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 17, and are available through www.legendofkorrainconcert.com.

Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy

Today, Apple TV unveiled the trailer for “Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home Snoopy,” premiering globally on Friday, July 31. In the new original special under the Snoopy Presents banner, Snoopy is devastated when his beloved doghouse is accidentally sold at a yard sale. In an effort to cheer up his pal, Charlie Brown leads Snoopy on an adventure to find his old doghouse, and along the way, they learn what makes a house truly a home. 

BLEACH: THOUSAND-YEAR BLOOD WAR – THE CALAMITY Continues Its Momentum

Fresh off its exclusive theatrical premiere event that brought the first three episodes to theaters ahead of streaming, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity took center stage at Crypto Arena for Anime Expo 2026.

Thousands of fans packed the arena for an advance screening of Episode 1 and the debut of an all-new trailer, offering an expanded look at the climactic conclusion to Tite Kubo's legendary saga. 

The celebration featured special appearances from Masakazu Morita, the Japanese voice of Ichigo Kurosaki, and Johnny Yong Bosch, the English voice of Ichigo, who shared behind-the-scenes stories from voicing one of anime's most enduring heroes.

ANIMEIGO Announce New Licenses During ANIME EXPO Panel

Anime distributor AnimEigo and parent company MediaOCD announced several newly licensed Blu-ray home media titles during its panel at Anime Expo 2026 that include Sakon The Ventriloquist, Drucker in the Dugout, House of Five Leaves, Baby & I, and the world’s first 4K restoration for AD Police Files.

An update was announced for the upcoming home media release of Vampire Princess Miyu that will deliver a pair of blank Blu-ray case inserts with every order. The groundbreaking horror anime OVA will be released on September 8th. Pre-orders are open now for a limited time exclusively from the MediaOCD web store. SRP is $24.95.

AnimEigo Announces VAMPIRE PRINCESS MIYU Release

Anime distributor AnimEigo and parent company MediaOCD have announced the highly anticipated home media Blu-ray release of Vampire Princess Miyu on September 8th.

A groundbreaking 4-part OVA series from director Toshihiro Hirano (Magic Knights Rayearth) and screenwriter Noboru Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist, The Twelve Kingdoms), Vampire Princess Miyu was originally released in Japan in 1988 and went on to give Western anime fans their first taste of anime supernatural horror.

Netflix's THE ONE PIECE Premieres February 2027

THE ONE PIECE is a brand-new anime series that adapts the original manga from the very beginning of the East Blue saga. Produced by WIT STUDIO, the series is set to premiere on Netflix in February 2027.

First serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, Eiichiro Oda’s manga “ONE PIECE”, which has become a global phenomenon, has surpassed 600 million copies in circulation worldwide as of March 2026.

The newly revealed concept art captures a moment in Windmill Village, where the story’s protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, spent his childhood. The scene shows Luffy enjoying a lively time at the village bar, PARTYS BAR, alongside the visiting Red-Hair Pirates captain Shanks and first mate Benn Beckman, and the bar’s owner, Makino.
