Doctor Who: The Satan Pit Extended Cut Screenings November 28

BBC Studios, CinemaLive and Fathom Entertainment have added encore screenings of the Doctor Who event in the UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The additional screenings will take place on Saturday 28 November.

Cineworld will also host an evening 4DX screening on Monday 23 November and Saturday 28 November at all 34 of its UK cinemas.

Bissette and Totleben’s Swamp Thing Artist’s Edition Announced

Today, Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing, in partnership with Skybound and DC, announced the upcoming release of Bissette and Totleben’s Swamp Thing Artist’s Edition. Collecting over 170 pieces of art starring the beloved Swamp Thing, from interior pages to unforgettable covers, this is the first time these stories have been featured in this format in a stunning, oversized Artist’s Edition measures 12” x 17”, arriving in comic shops on July 7, 2027. 

Stephen R. Bissette and John Totleben took the comics world by storm when they were given the reins of Saga of Swamp Thing with issue #16. Alan Moore joined the series with #20, and in the issues that followed, the trio completely reinvented Swamp Thing in what is considered to be the seminal horror comic of the 1980s.  

CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 4 x WU-TANG CLAN

The Call of Shaolin will definitely be heard across all of gaming this fall as the Wu-Tang Clan’s classic hit “C.R.E.A.M.” will be featured in the highly anticipated blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The original version of the song will be featured in the game’s opening cinematic, while the remix will be featured during the end credits sequence. The iconic track has been reimagined by Korean hip-hop artists LEE YOUNGJI, E SENS and Jay Park, delivering their verses in English and Korean, connecting the song to Modern Warfare 4’s new Korean setting. The Doll in the Hall LLC plans to launch The Doll in the Hall on Kickstarter on October 1, 2026. Built around an original character named Deadra, the project turns the month of October into a daily family ritual that blends search, storytelling, suspense, and play.

Each morning, families unlock Deadra from her keepsake box and place her into the day. Children must find her and return her to the box before bedtime. When Deadra is not found in time, she may cause playful mischief overnight. The experience continues through Halloween, when families can celebrate completing the challenge with a small reward chosen by the parents.

Iconic STAR TREK actress Gates McFadden (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Picard) is returning to the character of Beverly Crusher, but this time as the writer of the comic limited series STAR TREK: CRUSHER with artist Megan Levens and colorist Charlie Kirchoff.

With the debut issue arriving in summer 2027, the fan-favorite actress is making her comic book writing debut to bridge the 20 year in-universe gap in Crusher’s story between the events of the film Star Trek Nemesis and the television series Star Trek: Picard. McFadden, who portrayed the beloved Starfleet Chief Medical Officer for over 150 episodes, four feature films, and two video games, is ecstatic about further exploring the depth behind Crusher and her journey in the Star Trek universe.

Synapse Films Announces the The Deadly Spawn on 4K

On November 10, Synapse Films will release director Douglas McKeown’s Sci-Fi/horror classic The Deadly Spawn in separate 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray editions. 

The Deadly Spawn presents the dark side of an extraterrestrial visiting Earth. When a meteorite smashes into the woods of New Jersey, a pair of curious campers discover a menacing lifeform has hitched a ride on the space rock. After killing and devouring the campers, the terrifying creature makes its way into the basement of a nearby house, whose owners become its next meal.

Access:Horror Film Festival Announces Streaming Showcase Oct. 4 - Nov. 1

Access:Horror Film Festival, a celebration of disability in genre film, kicked off its 2026 program with an in-person opening night showcase at the Alamo Drafthouse Winchester on September 25. Following a successful night of accessibility-centered shorts, the virtual program will stream globally from October 4 through November 1, 2026.
