Starting August 18, fans can get their hands on the Hello Kitty & Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal, where Sanrio's beloved Hello Kitty characters collide with Godzilla's legendary movie monsters. It's the ultimate crossover where Kawaii meets Kaiju, making friends at first bite and proving that even the mightiest monsters have a soft side.

At Godzilla Fest 2025, held on Godzilla Day, Monday, November 3rd, at Tokyo’s Kanadevia Hall, the title of the upcoming, long-awaited Godzilla film – which Takashi Yamazaki will write, direct, and provide VX for – has finally been revealed!

2026 starts with a bang on January 7th in writer Tim Seeley and artist Nikola Čižmešija’s​ GODZILLA #6. This key issue of the blockbuster series will feature the gripping death of the iconic kaiju, and to celebrate the massive moment, comic book icon Dan Jurgens (The Death of Superman) has crafted a jaw-dropping “Death of” homage cover. As for how the pop culture icon falls, fans will have to read the issue themselves for the full story!

“When the good folks at IDW asked about the possibility of a special 'Death of Godzilla' cover that would play off the iconic cover that Brett Breeding and I did for Superman #75, I was definitely up for it,” remarked Jurgens. ”I’ve always been a fan of the big guy but hadn’t had a chance to draw him so this was the perfect way to scratch that itch. It was great fun to be able to contribute!”

Alamo Drafthouse Celebrates Godzilla's Birthday with Programming and Merch

On Monday, November 3rd, audiences at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations across the country will join together for Godzilla Day, the 71st birthday of the screen icon and true living legend, Godzilla. But what birthday gifts do you get for a skyscraper-sized septuagenarian with a temper? 

To properly celebrate the King of the Monsters, Alamo Drafthouse and their partners at Toho International plan an expansion of their merchandising partnership that includes the first-ever Godzilla popcorn bucket, a rare screening of THE RETURN OF GODZILLA at over 40 locations, and a top-secret mystery marathon at Alamo Drafthouse Valley Fair, the company's new kaiju-themed location near San Jose.

People talk about how great it must be to grow up in modern times with all forms of media at your finger tips and some of the best toys ever seen being dished out weekly, but I'd argue my childhood ruled...because of Godzilla. Every weekend I would become one with the couch and revel in the certainty that at least one Godzilla movie and one kung fu movie would be waiting for me on one of the (only) 7 TV channels available. Sure, kids can watch anything nowadays, but would they freely CHOOSE to watch men in rubber suits battle it out in tiny foam cities? Probably not. We didn't have that choice, and we have become better humans for it. Godzilla Minus One Returns to Theaters // New Art & Media

'Godzilla Minus One' Blu-ray and DVD Pre-orders Open

Physical Media fans just got four new ways to add the King of the Monsters to their home video collections as pre-orders for Godzilla Minus One on Blu-ray and DVD open today at major retailers across North America.

Following the Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray Deluxe Japan Collector’s Edition, four new home video versions of Godzilla Minus One are now available for pre-order at US and Canadian physical and online retailers.

Godzilla Minus One Receives First U.S. Physical Release

Toho International will send the Godzilla Minus One Blu-ray Deluxe Japan Collector's Edition stateside this September! Be one of the first in the US to own Godzilla Minus One and Minus One/Minus Color in a Godzilla Store Exclusive set that mirrors the deluxe 4-disc box set released on May 1, 2024 in Japan. Preserving the Japanese treatment in both packaging and content, the “Deluxe Japan Collector’s Edition” includes all the same features as the original Japan release with the added addition of English menus and the option to select the theatrical release English subtitles for Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color.

Apple TV+ Unveils “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”

Today, Apple TV+ unveiled the first teaser for “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” and shared that the highly anticipated ten-episode series will premiere globally on Friday, November 17. Based on Legendary’s Monsterverse, and starring Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski, "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” will debut with the first two episodes, followed by one episode every Friday through January 12.
