GUERS Debuts THE COLONY: 100 Hand-Cast Resin Beavers, Dropping Oct 10 and On Display at NYCC

Montreal-based independent artist Zine launches GUERS, an art toy brand, with the debut drop THE COLONY: an 11" hand-cast, hand-painted resin figure in two editions, Mocha and Obsidian, limited to 50 numbered pieces each.

GUERS is built around a single mascot, a rounded cartoon beaver with white gloves, instead of a new character every release. Future drops will keep building on the same character, including new poses and a secret rare chase. The beaver is a builder by nature, constantly shaping its own environment, which fits a first release made entirely from scratch.

NYCC 2026: Skybound Entertainment Announces Panels and Events Lineup

NYCC 2025: Anime Explosion at Tamashii Nations

Back onto the show floor at New York Comic Con 2025 and the Tamashii Nations booth, where the usual challenge is navigating through a SEA of Gundam robots to figure out what is actually new news. For some reason, the layout of the booth was highly conducive to shooting quick and easily, with everything marked TBD ready for photography! Alongside the mighty mighty Gundams were heroes and villains from My Hero Academy, the first Marvel Gamer-Verse figures, Demon Slayer, Mario and company, the One Piece crew, Naruto, and more! Behold..the beauty that is imported plastics...

NYCC 2025: Pop Insider Hosts Jada and Jakks

YOU THOUGHT WE WERE DONE?! Think again. We covered around 23 companies and shot over 900 pictures at New York Comic Con 2025, so the party continues...for a lil while longer! In a prime piece of real estate sat our friends from Pop Insider, who played games, spoiled guests, and hosted displays featuring upcoming toy releases! Among those collectibles were Invincible, Street Fighter, Scooby-Doo and Frosty the Snowman from Jada Toys, a massive Princess Peach and Bowser from the Mario video games lines, and a DC x Sonic Batmobile by JAKKS Pacific. NYCC 2025: Mortal Kombat II Promises Brutal Fights, Bigger Stakes, and Karl Urban Swagger

BEWARE! SPOILERS AHEAD! 

Fans stepping onto the Empire Stage at New York Comic Con didn’t just get a sneak peek at Mortal Kombat II, they were immediately transformed into Johnny Cage, as each attendee was given a pair of signature sunglasses that matches the hero’s snarky and overly-confident character. It was one of the coolest giveaways of the weekend and it set the tone for a panel that delivered knockout reveals, heartfelt cast moments, and one seriously wild exclusive clip.

The panel was led by none other than Ed Boon, the legendary co-creator of the Mortal Kombat video game series, who brought both nostalgia and energy, trading stories with the cast and crew, while teasing the audience with potential spoilers for the upcoming film.

NYCC 2025: Ghost of Diamond On Display

There are days when I openly admit I have no idea what's going on, and you can count today among them. When scouring the floor at New York Comic Con for anything noteworthy you lot would be happy to pour over, I rounded a corner and came upon a display of new toys that reminded me of the ones Diamond Select would have at the front of their booth to represent a wide array of partners with new toys on the horizon, for their distribution wing, respectively. This display at NYCC 2025 was exactly that, bearing only a cryptic diamond symbol above it all. On the hunt for the elusive Tenacious Toys booth, we slid past the packed Crunchyroll booth and ran smack into HIYA Toys! Among the horror fiends, Walking Dead survivors, video game icons and Scifi heroes doing a near 360 around their booth were bunches of kaiju from a veritable plastic history of Godzilla films. NYCC 2025: MGA on ARMORSAURS

MGA Entertainment, the global toy and entertainment company, partnered with Disney Branded Television and CAKE on a global, two-season deal to launch Armorsaurs, a bold new live-action VFX franchise rooted in cutting-edge storytelling and epic dinosaurs. The series debuts October 13 exclusively on Disney XD. Building on MGA’s global toy and entertainment expertise, Armorsaurs is designed to grow into a multi-platform brand, with toys, lifestyle products, games, and digital extensions rolling out in 2026. Based on the hit South Korean property Armored Saurus, the reimagined series combines live action, visual effects, and animation. It follows five young pilots and their armored dinosaurs as they defend Earth against an alien race intent on rebuilding its prehistoric army.

NYCC 2025: Prime Video Unmasks Premiere Date and Trailer for BAT-FAM

The Bat-Family is back, and they’ve got a lot more than crime-fighting on their plates.  Today at New York Comic Con, Prime Video unveiled the official trailer and premiere date for BAT-FAM,  the all-new animated series from DC and Warner Bros. Animation. The half-hour action-comedy is a follow-up to the hit holiday film, MERRY LITTLE BATMAN, and will be available to watch November 10 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The series will also stream on Amazon Kids+, Amazon’s digital subscription for kids.

NYCC 2025: Marvel Comics Announces the End of the Ultimate Universe

Just announced at New York Comic Con, Marvel Comics’ ULTIMATE UNIVERSE concludes next year, bringing an end to a line of blockbuster titles that ignited the industry with bold storytelling and captivating new versions of iconic characters.

During Marvel’s Next Big Thing Panel, Head of Marvel Comics and Franchise Dan Buckley, Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, Senior Editor Wil Moss, Ultimates writer Deniz Camp, and Ultimate Wolverine writer Chris Condon revealed information on the final issues of all five Ultimate titles to a room of surprised fans: ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #24 in December, ULTIMATE BLACK PANTHER #24 in January, ULTIMATE X-MEN #24 in February, and ULTIMATES #24 and ULTIMATE WOLVERINE #16 in April.
