The Army of Darkness Invades Riverdale in Upcoming Series

As part of a new multi-title deal for a slate of blockbuster pop culture collaborations, Dynamite Entertainment and Archie Comics are going straight to Hell with a cataclysmic crossover between two of their biggest franchises: Archie and the Army of Darkness!

The idyllic town of Riverdale has faced all manner of unexpected guests and multiversal threats, but never quite like this. In the forthcoming comic book series, Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and the rest of the gang will battle the source of all evil as the Army of Darkness and the Necronomicon lay siege to the Town with Pep. Lucky for them, the one and only Ash Williams, equipped with his trademark wit and boomstick, is along for the ride as they beat back the monstrous hordes . . . or die trying.

Red Sonja Takes on the Army of Darkness from Tim Seeley!

Two juggernaut franchises of epic action clash this April, as Dynamite is excited to announce a new comic series Red Sonja vs. The Army of Darkness from superstar writer Tim Seeley!

Fans are invited to sharpen their swords, load up their boomsticks, and rev their chainsaws, because it's time to take on the undead hordes of the Army of Darkness once more! The wisecracking Deadite-slayer Ashley J. Williams finds himself hurtling through space and time again, but this trip is special. This time he's teaming up with the She-Devil With a Sword herself. Has he met his match in ass-kicking and quip-slinging?

The Starz Evil Dead Movie Marathon

Setting the stage for the premiere of the highly anticipated STARZ Original series “Ash vs Evil Dead,” Starz presents a marathon of the cult classic Evil Dead horror franchise on Friday, October 30 beginning at 8:00pm ET/PT hosted by Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell (Ash). The marathon will conclude with a sneak peek of the first episode of “Ash vs Evil Dead” at 12:15 a.m. ET/PT.

The Evil Dead marathon kicks off with the original 1981 cult classic, The Evil Dead at 8:00pm ET/PT on STARZ. This seminal horror movie features five friends who go to a cabin in the woods where they find unspeakable evil lurking in the forest. They discover the Necronomicon, the Book of the Dead, which when translated releases a legion of demons and spirits. In order to survive the night, Ash must do battle with the evil dead.

File this under "In Case You Missed It"..because you don't play poker, aren't a hardcore gamer or just don't spend every waking hour on the computer, enabling your brains to soak up every iota of information that pops up under the search terms "Venture Brothers", "Evil Dead" or "Portal". For us...we blame the latter...but the other 2 apply as well. Shoot me for wanting to see the sun occasionally. A poor geek, indeed.

Kasual Friday Unveils New Mini Figures

The Pop Culture Collectibles landscape is a battlefield at the moment with licensors scooping up any project they can that they think will tug on your nostalgia strings. Enter David Vonner & company with their relatively new outfit, Kasual Friday! David brought us some amazing toys through Hasbro and now he puts that expertise to a mini figure line with an original look and feel we think you'll not be able to ignore.

At this past weekend's Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, Kasual Friday revealed 3 new characters from their upcoming 3" stylized figure line. Shown for the 1st time were MGM's Army of Darkness ASH and CLUBBER LANG along with King Features Syndicate's THE PHANTOM. Figures will be available Spring 2013.
