Toy Fair 2025: BTHA Announces Top 30 Hero Toys

Toy Fair is back for its 71st year and organiser, the British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA), is delighted to announce the top 30 Toy Fair’s Hero Toys for 2025. TV personality, Anna Williamson hosted the prestigious awards ceremony live at Olympia London, on the 21st January, posing with winners as they collected their certificates.

Curated by a panel of independent retailers with many years’ experience in buying and selecting toys, the Toy Fair’s Hero Toys winners were specially selected from a total of more than 310 submissions and represent some of the most innovative and inspiring toys coming out of Toy Fair 2025.

NYCC 2021: The Harvey Awards Announce 5 Hall of Fame Inductees

today revealed this year’s inductees into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame in advance of the digital event to be livestreamed during New York Comic Con. The 2021 Harvey Awards find five recipients being honored: legendary manga artist Rumiko Takahashi (Urusei Yatsura, Inuyasha), renowned horror illustrator Bernie Wrightson (Swamp Thing), painter and cover artist Jeffrey Catherine Jones, award-winning comic book artist Barry Windsor-Smith (Conan the Barbarian, Weapon X), and Michael Kaluta (The Shadow, Starstruck).

Public Outrage as Muppets Most Wanted Gets No Awards



OUTRAGE! The internet is all about it. Your favorite TV show includes a twist you don't agree with? Flip a table over. Your favorite comic book company resets their entire universe, effectively deleting the best parts of your childhood? Burn down the city. Today, the citizens are about to riot over Muppets Most Wanted not getting one award nomination. NOT ONE. Sure, the film doesn't come out til March 21st, but logic won't stop a good, ole fashioned riot. It's cleansing. Here are your favorite floppy armed friends responding to the deafening public outcry...sort of.

Curse Of Chucky Wins Best International Feature at Fantasia Film Festival

CURSE OF CHUCKY made its North American debut at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, Quebec, at a sold out screening for over 800 fans on Friday, July 31, 2013, and just won the festival’s Audience Award for Best International Feature today.

The screening was followed by a Q and A with Chucky creator/director Don Manicini, along with the film’s stars Fiona Dourif, Danielle Bisutti and Chantal Quesnelle. The panel was moderated by Fangoria’s Tony Timpone. The evening also included an autograph signing where dozens of fans brought their Chucky dolls, posters and even a Chucky jacket to be signed.
