Skydiving and Anthony Kiedis also feature prominently because, as previously mentioned, it was the 90s.

The Muppet Movie Presented by Fathom Events
Fathom Events’ Big Screen Classics announces the addition of “The Muppet Movie” to the 2024 film series line-up.  The beloved movie returns to celebrate its 45th anniversary in theaters nationwide on Sunday, June 2 at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm local time, and Monday, June 3 at 7:00 pm local time.

Following massive global success with the television hit “The Muppet Show,” which at its height aired in more than 100 countries around the world, Muppets creator Jim Henson took a huge creative risk to have the characters star in their first motion picture. The film also charmed critics and received an Academy Award® nomination for “The Rainbow Connection,” the film’s iconic theme song with music and lyrics by Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher.

The film stars Kermit (performed by Henson), Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear (performed by Frank Oz), Gonzo (performed by Dave Goelz) and his chicken Camilla (performed by Jerry Nelson), Scooter (performed by Richard Hunt), and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem as they embark on a road trip to Hollywood where fame and fortune beckons, driven only by hope, dreams and a wisecracking bear.

Galaxy Quest Group Shot
Twenty years ago next month, a pop-culture phenomenon was born: "Galaxy Quest" came to theaters in December 1999, and though it was a moderate box-office success, the last two decades have seen it become a genuine cult movie. As the cult classic nears its 20th anniversary – it premiered on December 25, 1999 – “Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary” explores how the science-fiction comedy became an enduring fan favorite, a movie that helped launch the sci-fi- and fantasy-driven movie and TV industry that dominates global entertainment today.

On November 26 only, Fathom Events and Fandom present the theatrical premiere of “Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary,” which includes exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and a 10-minute introduction featuring the cast members of ScreenJunkies.

RiffTrax Live: 2019 Continues With ‘The Giant Spider Invasion’ on August 15 & 20

RiffTrax Live 2019 The Giant Spider Invasion from Fathom Events
There’s a monster in Wisconsin, and it’s going to slowly, VERY slowly, strike TERROR INTO YOUR HEART! Sure your grandma could outrun it, but TERROR is more fun! When a fiery meteor lands in the woods, strange things begin to happen in this small Wisconsin town — even weirder than usual, and that’s a pretty high bar!

While the townspeople are picked off by spiders of varying sizes, two esteemed scientists ramble around the countryside in a late model sedan, where they find friendship, romance and a big mechanical spider built on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis!

Following the sidesplitting kick-off to the 2019 “RiffTrax Live” series with the wonderfully awful rubber monster B-movie “Octaman,” and the Casper Van Dien sword-and-laser swashbuckling space odyssey “Star Raiders” in June, RiffTrax’s Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett (of Mystery Science Theater 3000® fame) are back in cinemas in August with “RiffTrax Live: Giant Spider Invasion.” One of the most popular MST3K movies ever, comedy fans won’t want to miss this epic riff on the 1975 science fiction horror cult classic starring Alan Hale Jr, the (Skipper from “Gilligan’s Island”), Barbara Hale (“Perry Mason,” and no relation to the Skipper) and Robert Easton, who’s been in more movies than a No Smoking disclaimer. The Giant Spider Invasion explodes across the screen in a pristine new digital transfer.
