Hulu Unveils Chilling Trailer for New Documentary CLOWN PANIC

When children in a small South Carolina community report seeing clowns hiding in the woods in 2016, few believe them. But as sightings spread across the country, panic escalates into school lockdowns, police investigations. and a nationwide media frenzy. Featuring chilling archive footage, viral internet videos and revealing interviews with witnesses, law enforcement, clowns and cultural commentators, "Clown Panic" examines the collision of fear, social media and modern America at a moment of deep national anxiety. Darkly funny, unsettling and unexpectedly emotional, the film uncovers how a bizarre urban legend spiraled into a global moral panic that has echoes that resonate today. 

“Clown Panic” is directed by Ed Perkins and produced by Lightbox’s Jonathan Chinn and Simon Chinn. Suzanne Lavery serves as Executive Producer. 

Image Comics' SOUTHERN BASTARDS Gets HULU Pilot

Yesterday DEADLINE revealed that Hulu has ordered a pilot for a new drama based upon the Eisner and Harvey Award winning graphic novel series Southern Bastards created by Jason Aaron (Bug Wars, Thor) and Jason Latour (Spider-Gwen) and published by Image Comics.

The DEADLINE piece notes that the new project will be “from writers and executive producers Bill Dubuque (Ozark, The Accountant) and Nia DaCosta (Candyman, The Marvels). Matt Olmstead (Chicago P.D., Law & Order: Organized Crime) will serve as showrunner and executive producer. The project comes from Onyx Collective, POV Entertainment, and Proximity Media, in association with Fifth Season, where Dubuque has an overall deal.”

This Pumpkin is RIPE for Revenge in Hulu's Horror-Comedy CARVED

When a heartbroken teenage playwright, her younger brother, and a disparate group of survivors become trapped in a historical reenactment village on Halloween night, they must band together to survive a relentless assault by a sentient and vengeful pumpkin.

Directed by Justin Harding, “Carved” is based on the short film of the same name, which he also wrote and directed for a shorts program for Huluween Film Fest and teamed up with writer Cheryl Meyer to pen the feature version together. As part of WorthenBrooks’ first-look horror slate with Hulu Originals, “Carved” was developed by WorthenBrooks with David Brooks, Debbie Liebling, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle serving as producers. Miles Alva is an executive producer. Lorne Raimi, Alex Hansen, and Nick Page are co-producing.

SDCC 2024: Solar Opposites Season 5 Trailer, Renewed for Season 6

Hulu debuted the "Solar Opposites" season five trailer during its panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, Friday July 26. Dan Stevens also announced via a pre-recorded video that the hit adult animation series has been renewed for a sixth season. "Solar Opposites" season five premieres on August 12 with all 11 episodes, with a Halloween special coming later this year.

SEASON FIVE SYNOPSIS:

“Solar Opposites” centers around a team of four aliens who are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Dan Stevens) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love TV, junk food and fun stuff. On season five, now that alien mission partners Terry and Korvo are married, the whole Solar Opposites team is focused on family values.

HULU Orders Social Experiment Show ‘GOT TO GET OUT’

Hulu has ordered “Got to Get Out” (working title), a new original social experiment and competition series from Wheelhouse that will test the loyalties of a group of strangers vying for a major payday. Created by Glenn Hugill (“Deal or No Deal,” “The Mole,” “Puzzling”) – president of Wheelhouse’s UK arm – and produced by Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios, “Got to Get Out” will consist of 10, hourlong episodes.

The new series will feature participants living together in a mansion for 10 days, competing for a cash prize that increases by $1 every second that they’re there. Physical and mental challenges completed throughout will add money to the pot, with a total of $1 million at stake. Participants can stick together and take an equal share of the prize money at the end of their stay – OR they can choose to go rogue and attempt to steal the full pot of money for themselves.

Futurama Returns Monday, July 24, 2023

After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact. The ten all-new episodes of season eleven have something for everyone. New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler's litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy's tadpoles. Hulu Orders ‘King of the Hill’ Reboot

Hulu today announced a series order for a revival of iconic animated hit “King of the Hill,” from 20th Television Animation, which will be created and executive produced by original co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, as well as incoming executive producer and showrunner Saladin Patterson. Additionally, 3 Arts’ Michael Rotenberg and Howard Klein, and Bandera Entertainment’s Dustin Davis serve as executive producers of the show, which will take place in fictional Arlen, Texas, in present day USA.

VIZ Media Announces ONE-PUNCH MAN Season 2 Premiere On HULU

VIZ Media proudly announces the premiere of Season 2 of the hit anime series ONE-PUNCH MAN on April 9th, the same day as the Japanese broadcast.

Uglydolls Land At Hulu

Hulu is further expanding its library of family programming, inking a deal with Robert Simonds' STX Entertainment for the Uglydolls franchise. The deal includes a 26-episode series order of Uglydolls to be developed and produced as an animated kids series for Hulu, as well as the exclusive SVOD rights to the upcoming animated feature film following its theatrical run. Hulu will be the streaming home to both the series and the film in the U.S., with STX retaining the international rights.
