New Joker Teaser Trailer is No Laughing Matter

Warner Brothers is quickly learning that comic book heroes and villains can go from comedy to tragedy at breakneck speeds and only after doing months of research can one lay out which character falls on each side of the coin. Batman is grim while Superman is sunny. ...And then there's The Joker. While this character can definitely be played for the occasional laugh, the Clown Prince of Crime is at his best when he's horrifically menacing, totally unpredictable, and assuring all laughs are at YOUR expense, though you may not be alive at that point to figure it out. When Joker's punchline comes with a bang, there's usually carnage involved.

Harley Quinn Stars in 'Injustice: Gods Among Us: Ground Zero'

Following the best-selling INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US comic book series by Tom Taylor and Brian Buccelato, DC debuted today an all-new digital first series INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US: GROUND ZERO. Continuing the epic Injustice saga, INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US: GROUND ZERO tells the story of the critically acclaimed Injustice: Gods Among Us video game, but with a twist – fans will get to relive the game’s storyline through the twisted and demented eyes of the clown princess of crime, Harley Quinn.

The new, earth-shattering series was developed in part by INJUSTICE veteran writer Brian Buccellato and is written by Chris Sebela, a rising star in the comic book industry and recent alumni of the DC Talent Development Workshop.

New Suicide Squad Trailer ROCKS

How do you pull on an aging geek's heart strings? Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody. That is all you need, really. Add some snappy dialogue, a good look at a lot of heavy DC baddies we all grew up with and blammo....you've got magic. Maybe even enough to ignore Jokerleto's shiny grill! Maybe. Check out that beautiful title art! I'd watch this movie on the strength of that alone. (art nerd)

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself? Cue the music...

NECA Launches DC Comics 7 inch Action Figure Bundles

How they sold out almost instantly online and then the hunt was on from store to store trying to score JUST ONE of these elusive figures? Welp, time to relive that fun! NECA just dropped a small pile of Warner Bros exclusive 7 inch action figure and DVD packs onto Ebay and once word gets out, we expect them to vanish like a ninja throwing down a smoke bomb.

SDCC 2015: The Suicide Squad Trailer Officially Released

You strained your eyes. The little blueish black and white box jumped around and under your breathe, you wish the damn camera operator would sit the hell still and provide a clean shot. You strained to decipher the muffled words spoken by DC's most unlikely heroes. Ultimately, you got what you could from a vid shot seemingly from someone's lap in the middle of San Diego Comic-Con 2015, dodging security and knowing full well they were acting against the wishes of the movie company present in that hall, at that moment. For shame. Now, Warner Bros. answers your cries for ACTUAL clarity (because..seriously..that vid was damn horrible) and releases the Suicide Squad trailer in glowing, eye melting HD. BEHOLD....the new Joker speaks...

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 : Square Enix Batman: Arkham Asylum Exclusives

There is one topic (beyond My Little Pony, Monster High and Winx Club...who knew?) that rocks my rankings at the merest mention on new merchandise, it is THE BATMAN!! And among the Batman merch that gets the most interest is anything for Arkham Asylum or City. Yep...you sure do love playing those video games...and so it came as no surprise when Square Enix announced their two SDCC 2012 exclusives would BOTH be from Arkham Asylum.

Batman: Arkham City: Harley Quinn's Revenge

Payback’s a bitch, especially when dealing with The Joker’s most psychotic sidekick, Harley Quinn. Harley is the new boss of Arkham City and is determined to make Batman pay for what he’s done to The Joker. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment bring to you today a new trailer and screenshots from Harley Quinn’s Revenge Pack, the final chapter of Batman: Arkham City saga that adds more than two hours of fresh single-player gameplay to the critically-acclaimed title from Rocksteady Studios. The Harley Quinn’s Revenge mission sends players back into Arkham City to face their final challenge as they interchange between playing as both Batman and Robin.

Newcomers to last year’s Dark Knight adventure will be able to pick up Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition on May 29 (North America), which includes all previous downloadable content (Catwoman Pack, Nightwing Bundle Pack, Robin Bundle Pack, Challenge Map Pack and Arkham City Skins Pack) plus Harley Quinn’s Revenge Pack. Fans who already own the original edition of Batman: Arkham City will be able to download Harley Quinn’s Revenge Pack beginning May 29 on PlayStation®Network ($9.99) and the Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for Xbox 360 (800 Microsoft Points).

Toy Fair 2012 : Batman: Arkham City

ARE YOU READY FOR HEAD EXPLODEY??!! You know what the best thing about having someone take excellent pictures for you is? You can actually enjoy them! The mighty, mighty Halestorm is back with a giant pile of DC Direct Batman: Arkham City action figure images that may make you weep with joy. In fact, they are soooo so pretty, they get their own article. My reaction is to start calculating how much I'll have to save every week to get these suckers. No freebies for Nomad. Upcoming Arkham City action figures include...

Batman Arkham City Action Figures Series 2 April 2012 : Catwoman (who I still swear was modeled after Yaya Han, even though the designer swears it isn't), The Riddler (who is an excellent mix of Frank Gorshin and a more punk rock Bing Crosby), Hush, Batman in Detective Mode (which is more beautiful than I could have possibly dreamed...gush) & Jervis Tetch AKA The Mad Hatter (with gang signing action).

Series 3 September 2012 : Clown Thug (which has a variant shown below..said to be 50/50 in cases. HEY!! ARMY BUILDERS!! Why didn't anyone else ever think of that?!), The Penguin, Ra's Al Ghul, Batman & Azrael. We suspect we'll see the last three at Toy Fair in NY next week!

Batman Arkham City Deluxe Collector Action Figures - This June: Killer Croc & Mr. Freeze followed by Titan Joker in November .

Toy Fair 2012 Preview : LEGO DC Super Heroes Part 1

We've been showing off heaps of new toys and collectibles and in the weeks to come, there will be even more. Before we get buried in all those plastics to come, we thought we'd take a look at the latest toys you can score in stores right now. Let's kick things off with LEGO!

DC Super Heroes marks the first time LEGO is tackling an entire universe of comic book heroes and villains. We got a taste of what COULD be when LEGO last ventured into the Bativerse. Now LEGO builds (snicker) on that base and goes wild with the possibilities of what they could make and what we will scream for. We'll begin our photo sets with the larger scale figures, meant to offer the buildable function LEGO enthusiasts love along with the playability of an action figure, making it appealing to a wider audience. Has their math paid off? Only time will tell, but one visit to your local Toys R Us will reveal the only items left on the shelves from this line are these figures. This could be in part to the scalpers snapping up the other standard LEGO sets for resale on Ebay, so again, we'll have to wait and see if these are popular enough to warrant an entire Justice League and Legion of Doom! THAT thought should get you drooling.

For now, we've got the first three on shelves; Batman, The Joker and Green Lantern. We ditched the Lantern in favor of the Batman vs Joker face-off because..well..we had to draw the line somewhere!! These little suckers can get pricey. The larger scale figures assemble fairly quickly and have surprisingly tight joints, providing a stable system for maximum posability. I'll also note that you can do this posing without the figures falling apart in your hands. One detractor for hardcore comic fans may be the odd spider legs coming out of both figures' backs, as if they were manga mega bots of some sort. No worries..you can yank them out easily enough. For the sake of a complete view, we left our robo claws in. The Joker's weapon of choice is a sort of pop gun/ ray gun with appealing translucent parts while Batman gets a super destructo double edged sword. You are probably saying to yourself "these are for kids...where the hell would they fit into my collection?!" Our one thought was they ARE super mega manga bots you can pop your mini figures onto the backs of. I even had two little remotes to complete the look! GIANT ROBO WARRRR!!
