Universal Pictures WOLF MAN Coming January

Universal Pictures WOLF MAN
What if someone you loved became something else?

From Blumhouse and visionary writer-director Leigh Whannell, the creators of the chilling modern monster tale The Invisible Man, comes a terrifying new lupine nightmare: Wolf Man.

Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things, It Comes at Night) stars as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; Ozark, Inventing Anna), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth; Hullraisers, Coma).

But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.

Osgood Perkins' THE MONKEY

Neon Presents The Monkey Teaser Poster
Hot and still practically in flames (like a dumb vampire streaking in the morning sun) off their LONGLEGS success, Osgood Perkins and the NEON crew drop a teaser for their next nightmare-inducing cinematic feast. It's a little tale by Stephen King called THE MONKEY. Mostly known as a short story in King's collection "Skeleton Crew", the chiller involves the well-known and often feared cymbal-banging money toy we've all run from when discovered on the shelves at Good Will, wedged between a hairless Barbie and a fat bag of Power Rangers Movie Happy Meal toys. In this instance, the already horrific monkey is discovered by two brothers in an attic. The twist? THIS MONKEY IS CURSED!!! As expected, wackiness (and time jumping) ensues as the monkey's history with this particular family unfolds and a respectable death toll mounts.

Lovecraft Country Teaser Packed With Monsters Both Human and ...Not

HBO Lovecraft Country Teaser
HBO has my full attention! The cable channel who last blew me out of my seat with their Watchmen series now dives neck deep into the murky, tentacle filled waters of H.P. Lovecraft's mind.

The one-hour drama series based on the 2016 novel by Matt Ruff, follows Atticus Black as he joins his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. What follows is a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from an H.P. Lovecraft paperback.

The Lead Up To Halloween Begins with the Addams Family Teaser

The Addams Family animated feature length film

Used to be, if we heard an animated version of a TV or Movie property was coming, it was a sort of straight to video thing that was more than likely instantly forgettable after watching. These days, full length animated features are proving to be better than their live action counterparts! With releases like The LEGO Movie and Into the Spider-Verse, artists and creators are changing the way animation is received by the pubic, and anticipated at the box office. We can only hope our favorite creepy, kookie, mysterious and spooky family has gotten the same expert handling and proves to be a new Halloween tradition in the making.

New Joker Teaser Trailer is No Laughing Matter

Warner Bros Joker Movie Teaser Trailer 2019 02
Warner Brothers is quickly learning that comic book heroes and villains can go from comedy to tragedy at breakneck speeds and only after doing months of research can one lay out which character falls on each side of the coin. Batman is grim while Superman is sunny. ...And then there's The Joker. While this character can definitely be played for the occasional laugh, the Clown Prince of Crime is at his best when he's horrifically menacing, totally unpredictable, and assuring all laughs are at YOUR expense, though you may not be alive at that point to figure it out. When Joker's punchline comes with a bang, there's usually carnage involved.

SDCC 2018: Netflix Teases Stranger Things Season 3 with a Trip to the Mall

Netflix Stranger Things Season 3 Starcourt Mall Teaser
The MALL!! ..a phenomenon and an enigma to kids in Brooklyn when the first glorious cathedrals to consumerism first popped up. We didn't get "it" at first, but we sought out the only mall-like location in our city and after a time, it all made sense. Of course, after moving to New Jersey where there was absolutely nothing else to do, it made even more sense! No matter where you were raised, we probably all have odd mall stories, some including Frank Gorshin (Classic TV Batman's Riddler) chain smoking at a signing in the comic shop, or your friends hustling non-locals at the arcade on Street Fighter, pronouncing at the start of the second match "I'm now going to beat you by just throwing you over and over." The mall is forever burned my memory and, apparently, it made an impression on the Stranger Things crew as well..

Stephen King's IT Pushes Beyond Quaint TV Memories

New Line Cinema's IT Movie Poster
Growing up, I loved Stephen King novels. To say I devoured them is an understatement. That kid in the Monster Squad movie with the red T shirt? May as well have been me..minus the monster fighting. They were my buddies. While the movie adaptions of King's books started off strong, there are a handful of misses that often overshadow the good. I like to think the TV adaption for IT lands somewhere in the middle, triggering a horror fan's nostalgia and a love of all things Tim Curry dominating over the plodding pace, odd grown up reunion and devastatingly unscary finale.

Now..Warner Bros' New Line Cinema feature film looks to trigger your fear reflex. There's so much packed into IT that should scare the holy hell out of anyone reading, and so, the movie adaption should make a select few run from the theater weeping. WE CAN HOPE!! Check out the first teaser below...
