Nickelodeon and Entertainment One Partner for New Transformers Animated Series
Nickelodeon, the number-one network for kids, and Hasbro’s Entertainment One (eOne) have partnered to co-produce an original animated Transformers series (26 half-hour episodes), based on the iconic global property. In the action-comedy series, a new species of Transformers must find their place and purpose among Autobots, Decepticons, and the human family that adopts them. The series will premiere exclusively on Nickelodeon in the U.S. before rolling out internationally.
“As soon as I read the creative concept, which at its core is about family, I knew we absolutely had to tell this story with our good friends at eOne and Hasbro,” said Ramsey Naito, President, Nickelodeon Animation. “The series will tell a reimagined story featuring both original characters and fan-favorites for a whole new generation of kids and families. The creative team at Nick, overseen by Claudia Spinelli, SVP of Animation Development, can’t wait to get started on building this new world.”

Diamond Select Fulfills Your Iron Giant Dreams
I feel like most companies are always looking for new opportunities to get Iron Giant collectibles into the hands of under-served fans worldwide, and though we are slowly crawling toward that "one of everything has been made" point, you'll notice those things made even recently are difficult to get, which is reflected in their secondary market price. Diamond Select, ever with their ear to the ground, are always checking things off of people's wishlists as they prove time and again that they are fans of all the things we are fans of as well, so it should come as no surprise that they've attempted to give our heroic metal buddy some love...and today is no different!

Transformers Arcee and Hot Rod Get Drunk and Sing
There are many ways to celebrate our beloved, geeky past. If you are like me, you hunt for toys which trigger a happy place in the brain when eyes meet plastic. Some rewatch cartoons regularly. Some decorate their entire house in "Disney's Gummy Bears" decor and collectibles and no one is the wiser...until the day they die and people come in and neighbors say "he was such a quiet man...who knew?" Fans of Transformers can celebrate year round so long as Hasbro keeps revisiting those classic robot designs (and, as of late, crank out reproductions of the G1 toys) and metal rockers The Cybertronic Spree keep making the world a more awesome place with their energon-fueled performances. You see, the Cybertronic Spree is what happens when your favorite giant robots stop waging war on each other, and start rocking out together. Today, we get to see what happens when you add alcohol to that equation...

Playmate's Voltron: Legendary Defender Brigs Lionbots Home Again
So Playmates rings up and says WE HAVE THE VOLTRON LICENSE!! We want to send you Voltron toys!! Obviously there is YAYing and happy dancing. I make suggestions including "Let me know when that big sucker is coming because i'll need to book a plethora of time to pour over it and table a thousand pictures. Exactly 1 thousand." Then they say they can only send over the basic figures, you are getting 2 of them. ENJOY!! This can be a real bummer, as I am a poor lad and can not afford the fancy massive Voltron gracing store shelves...but then I have a flashback when the toys actually arrive. Remembering being poor little Paul who also couldn't afford the giant Voltron, but managed to save up some squirreled away arcade moneys for what was most likely a bootleg Voltron from the Te-Amo on the corner of 15th and Avenue U. He wasn't a massive, interconnecting robot, but he was mine.

Toy Fair 2017: Hasbro's Top Secret Transformers: The Last Knight Toy Lineup
Those that follow Hollywood film projects know that it's not unusual for a production company to give a project a code name as to mask their filming info from prying eyes..and cameras. In recent years, this practice has been creeping every so slightly into the toy world...and today, it seems to be out in full force. We've got a small pile of Transformers: The Last Knight movie toy listings, complete with TOP SEKRET CODE NAMES!!! Intrigue. While it won't help you to begin your drooling over the movie toys, it may give you an idea of how broke you'll be, should they ultimately not be trash. (please don't be trash)

Dreamworks Voltron: Legendary Defender Full Trailer Premiere
The time has come to see if you are going to be down with this new incarnation of Voltron...probably with just one look! As is the case with most things that cause flashbacks, if the first trailer for a project doesn't hit the right notes, use a pleasing art style or nod heavily to the original work, fans will begin the slagging. Ohh....so much slagging to be had. Let's see if the new Voltron is going to spark cheers or hate mail from 12 year old Minecraft trolls...

Toy Fair 2014: threeA's First Appearance
In a world of toy collectors, collectibles hunters and art toy enthusiasts, there is a constant urgency for innovation; an original thought among the endless piles of standard action figures, whether it be toward licenses we've come to know or all together new concepts. With the highly artistic eye and hand of Ashley Wood leading the way, threeA has made some of the most sought after robot toys the world has ever seen. With ball joints, fully articulated hands, functional gear packs and paint jobs that speak to a specific environment beating against a massive metal structure, threeA's robots, at any scale, are in-arguably unmatched.
2014 will mark the first year threeA has shown their products at New York Toy Fair. While a lot of their releases are still original creations, this year presents a great deal of licensed product. Current licenses include Marvel Comics (with Iron Man in 4 colorways and Doctor Doom), Team Fortress 2, Portal, and Metal Gear Solid.
