Netflix’s ‘Haunted Hotel' Official Trailer Debut

This month Netflix is celebrating its adult animated comedy slate and the release of Genndy Tartakovsky's Fixed (August 13) and Raphael Bob-Waksberg's Long Story Short (August 22) with a week of announcements and asset debuts for our upcoming series, giving fans a preview of the hilarious new movie and shows that are guaranteed to deliver plenty of laughs. For over a decade, Netflix has been making adult animated series, starting with the groundbreaking BoJack Horseman—hailed as one of the best TV shows of all time — which set a new bar for adult animated storytelling and paved the way for a string of daring and culturally-defining comedies, including Big Mouth, which celebrated its finale earlier this summer, F is for Family, Disenchantment, Tuca & Bertie and more. We’re excited to partner with visionary creators to bring our new slate of animated adult comedies to members around the globe. In addition to Genndy Tartakovsky's Fixed and Raphael Bob-Waksberg's Long Story Short, upcoming shows include Matt Roller's Haunted Hotel, releasing September 19; and Brutus Pink’s Mating Season, arriving in 2026.

Netflix’s Upcoming Adult Animation Slate

Netflix has become a go-to destination for animation with over half its members watching animation every month (from Preschool to Anime, tentpole films to adult comedy or horror).And it's definitely not just for kids: animation is a medium that can be the canvas to tell ANY story, including very adult ones. Netflix unveiled today a fresh look at its upcoming adult animation slate spanning across film, anime, action, thrillers and comedy series. The sneak peek includes the exclusive first look at Genndy Tartakovsky’s director’s cut for the howl-arious adult animated film Fixed, along with new images from the highly anticipated new and returning series, Long Story Short, Haunted Hotel, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, and SAKAMOTO DAYS.

A single mother of two struggles to run a haunted hotel with the help of her estranged brother, who is now one of the ghosts haunting the hotel and thinks the other ghosts have some pretty good ideas. 

Titmouse will serve as the studio with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina also acting as Executive Producers.

Netflix Showcases AnimeJapan 2025 Highlights

Netflix, the world's largest video streaming service specializing in entertainment, held a Netflix Special Stage on Saturday, March 22nd at the AJ Stage of AnimeJapan 2025, the world's largest anime festival. On stage were Chiaki Kobayashi (voice of Mash from Mashle and Stark from Funeral of Frieren) from Moonrise , Chikahiro Kobayashi (voice of Saichi Sugimoto from Golden Kamuy and Shion from Hell's Paradise) and the "star" Legoshi from BEASTARS Final Season , Yu Kobayashi (voice of Sasha from Attack on Titan and Ayame Sarutobi from Gintama) from Arcane, and My Melody (favorite food: almond pound cake) from My Melody & Kuromi . The super-luxurious voice actors representing 25 years of Netflix anime gathered together to passionately talk about the appeal and behind-the-scenes stories of the works. Also on stage, a special video showing the lineup of impressive anime works that will be distributed on Netflix in 2025, including "SAKAMOTO DAYS," "Fire Force Season 3," "Blue Box," the movie "Detective Conan: Submarine of Steel," "Leviathan," "Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of the Revenge," "Baban Baban Baban Vampire," and more, was unveiled, along with hero art. Anime has now established itself as a popular genre on Netflix, watched by over 100 million households a year, and the momentum is showing no signs of slowing this year either!

Anime NYC 2024: Netflix World Premiering TERMINATOR ZERO

Anime NYC is thrilled to announce that Netflix will present the WORLD PREMIERE of its new anime series, TERMINATOR ZERO at the largest anime convention on the East Coast. Creator and Showrunner, Mattson Tomlin (The Batman Part 2), Director, Masashi Kudo (Bleach), and special guests from one of the most anticipated Anime series of the year will be on hand for the TERMINATOR ZERO panel on Saturday, August 24th at 7:30 PM. CAPTAIN LASERHAWK: A BLOOD DRAGON REMIX Graphic Novel

Publisher TOKYOPOP announced the forthcoming launch on December 14th of CAPTAIN LASERHAWK: A BLOOD DRAGON REMIX, an original new boys’ love manga inspired by the Netflix anime series featuring alter egos of characters from the hit Ubisoft video games in a highly referential homage to the early 90s.

The Netflix series follows Dolph Laserhawk, a rebel super-soldier who escaped the army and plans a final big heist with Alex Taylor before they sail into the sunset. The show was created by Adi Shankar (producer of Netflix’s Castlevania series) and is currently streaming.

Revealed during Netflix’s Geeked Week, an event dedicated to geek culture shows, movies, and games available and set to arrive on the streaming platform, a new teaser trailer and "Inside Look" mark the first time the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners animated series has been shown off in motion. In addition to commentary about the show’s development from key CD PROJEKT RED staff involved in the project, the documentary also features first-look stills and concept art as well as an exclusive clip and scene breakdown from the anime.
