McFarlane Brings Spawn's Child to Image Comic in MISERY

New Spawn Universe series Misery—written by award winning creator Todd McFarlane and illustrated by Szymon Kudrański (Blood Commandment)—is set to launch this June from Image Comics/Todd McFarlane Productions. This four issue miniseries will take readers on the compelling journey of teenager Cyan Fitzgerald, an iconic character who was first introduced in Spawn #3 and has been a part of the Spawn mythos ever since.

In Misery #1, Cyan is now a 17-year-old trying to forge a life of her own after the tragic loss of her mother, Wanda, whose character was the inspiration for Spawn's existence in the first place. Now, as Cyan grapples with her grief and seeks to find her purpose, she discovers hidden powers emerging in her. A newfound gift—and curse—for ‘healing’ will force her to distance herself from those she loves most at a time when she needs their support.

Cyan will be forced to navigate the already tumultuous path of adolescence as her powers take her on a physical and emotional rollercoaster. The ability to ‘heal’ others comes at an unexpected cost—each touch unleashes the darkest memories and emotions of the person she touches, leaving Cyan to bear the weight of their suffering as her own.

Toy Fair 2019: McFarlane Takes On CUPHEAD! * UPDATED 2/14

McFarlane has been doing some re-construction on their building line over the last couple of years. Their construction sets have gone from realistic mini model figures paired with traditional block building sets to a model more in keeping with what has made LEGO the titan of the toy shelves they are today. The change in style has been paying off, with their Hello Neighbor sets nowhere to be found and Five Nights at Freddy's sets highly sought after. Now McFarlane lends their design know how to the video game world, which seems like a no brainer, starting with the ridiculously irresistible, highly charismatic retro cartoon stylings of CUPHEAD!!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of one of the most popular video game franchises, Microsoft’s Halo, McFarlane Toys has released a commemorative edition of the game’s iconic SPARTAN-II super soldier protagonist! Now fans can own the platinum-painted version of John-117, who comes Covenant combat-ready, equipped with his MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Mark VI armor and classic assault rifle.
