NYCC 2025: MONDO on MOTU, TMNT, Gargoyles & More

Getting a good vantage point of MONDO is a struggle, as eager fans buzzed around every display, shooting their own pictures, no doubt to show their loved ones what they want for Christmas. Among the licences on show were the familiar Ghostbusters and X-Men, the previously announced Masters of the Universe 6 inch line, and an AMAZING Over the Garden Wall collection. Total surprises were MONDO venturing back into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles territory and some massive Gargoyles that seemed to be plucked right from the TV screen! 

We'll remind collectors that the Masters of the Universe 6 inch He-Man and Clawful timed editions are about to exit their availability window, with preorders closing at 10:59 AM CT on 10/17, so jump while you've got the chance...

NYCC 2025: X-Men Enter the Shadows of Tomorrow

SDCC 2024: Diamond Select Toys, Gentle Giant LTD and Ironguard Supplies Head to Comic-Con

It’s almost that time, when it seems like half the world descends on San Diego to celebrate the world of comics and pop culture! Diamond Select Toys, Gentle Giant LTD and Ironguard Supplies will be set up at Booth 2607, and they’ll have fun events, swell booth exclusives, a fully-stocked store, and a team of helpful staff waiting to answer your questions. Let’s see what they’ve got going on!

First up, besides the four exclusives DST made for Diamond Comics (available at booth 2401), Gentle Giant LTD will have four exclusives that will only be at booth 2607! An animated-style Iron Man statue, a Jumbo Jawa figure, and busts of Marvel’s Vision and Star Wars’ Grievous will be for sale to attendees, with a limited number available to the Gentle Giant LTD Premier Guild after the show.

SDCC 2023: Diamond Select & Gentle Giant

It’s almost Comic-Con International time again, and Diamond Select Toys and Gentle Giant LTD are packed up and ready to go! Setting up shop at booth 2607 from July 19-23, there will be a variety of new and exclusive collectible products for sale, as well as a wide range of new toy prototypes on display, most for the first time ever!

Come to a panel on Thursday, at 4:00 in room 32ab, to hear from DST & GG LTD president Chuck Terceira, Dev Gilmore (product manager), Joe Menna (sculptor), Gabe Garcia (production manager) and Joe Allard (designer) as they discuss the behind-the-scenes stories of making toys and statues. Marketing supervisor Zach Oat will moderate a Q&A session and present a slideshow of upcoming products and reveals.

At the booth, winning “Gem” certificates have been hidden inside products, and if you find one when you get your purchase home, follow the instructions to find out how to redeem your prize! Plus, there will be entry forms to win a graded Star Wars collectible, as well as coupons for the DST and GG LTD websites!

Hasbro, a global play and entertainment company, officially unveiled its programming slate of engaging fan experiences for Hasbro Pulse Con 2022 through a dynamic panel lineup themed to Hasbro’s iconic brands, including Marvel, Star Wars and Indiana Jones, plus exciting celebrity and influencer appearances. Available for FREE for adult fans in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Austria, Hasbro Pulse Con will be livestreamed exclusively on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube Channel on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. Hosted by actor, influencer, artist and entrepreneur Khleo Thomas, as well as cohost DJ Amen, the pop culture and fandom festivities will kick off with an exciting global pre-show on Sept. 30 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET hosted by Thew Adams. Avengers: Infinity War on 4K & Blu-ray Aug 14th

Box office history was made when Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” shattered all opening records, surpassed the $2 billion mark at the global box office in just 48 days, and remains the fourth highest-grossing film of all time. Now, the cinematic event ten-years in the making comes home Digitally on July 31 and Blu-ray on Aug. 14 with over two hours of bonus.

HASCON 2017: Marvel Legends Continue to Dominate

As expected, Hasbro was not going to waste the opportunity to show off as much new product as possible at their first ever HASCON in Providence, RI. While a full lineup of Black Panther merchandise was absolutely the show stopper, long time Legends fans were lighting the message boards ablaze with talk of new figure reveals and what each character selection means for future waves of action figures. For us at Idle Hands, we read NOTHING into anything Hasbro does these days. It's clear the creatives over there have a wishlist they are running down, including Toy Biz figures in dire need of a Hasbro update, movie and TV stars they can now do justice to with the help of new sculpting technology, and characters they never dreamed they would be allowed to make before as retailer faith in the brand reaches new highs, allowing for waves of characters not weighed down by obligatory inclusions of Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-Man variants. SDCC 2015: Diamond's Previews Exclusives for Comic-Con

Diamond Comic Distributors is offering  over 20 limited PREVIEWS exclusives for this year’s Comic-Con International: San Diego (July 8-12), including custom comics and collectibles. Comic-Con attendees will be able to preview the items at the Diamond PREVIEWS booth #2401 and purchase from retailer booths on the show floor.
