Sweet Suite 2018: LEGO Harry Potter Mini Figures, Sets and BrickHeadz
I LIVE!! Trampled by sugar crazed blogger children, smacked in the head with swag bags and pummeled relentlessly by New York's Summer heat, I returned home late last night, able to shout I SURVIVED ANOTHER SWEET SUITE!! With an oceanfront view, Idle Hands spent the day getting on our knees to shoot all the little plastic people, and then comically trying to get back up again so YOU, the ones we love, can see all the toys coming to stores this August and on into the Holiday Season. Let's kick off this toy parade with LEGO and our most favorite new thing to hit toy shelves next month...HARRY POTTER SETS!!!

Sweet Suite 2015: LEGO Minifigures Get CREEPY for Halloween
Suite Sweet is quickly becoming one of my favorite events of the year! The upside; an ocean of toy companies on hand, most of which with product that can be found at retail, all with toys they are happy to demo for you. Though finding items among their displays that are NEW can be challenging, the all press atmosphere keeps everyone cheerful, even with a long day ahead. The downside; every 4th display is on a stand waaaay down on the floor...and I ain't gettin any younger. If you listen closely, you can hear my bones creaking today from all the bending and squatting to get you the toy pictures you DEMAND. And I do it...out of love. DON'T SPURN MY LOVES!! One thing I am absolutely sure of, all my friends are about to go insane over LEGO's all HALLOWEEN monster themed Minifigure wave...

Now, LEGO drop a whole wave of Simpsons Minifigures on an unsuspecting public, allowing newcomers the joy of trying to collect a complete series of blind-bagged toys. LEGO Minifigures Online
In the already overcrowded video game marketplace, publishers have been scrambling to find an equally addictive replacement for Warcraft, which has been cooling off for some time now. It appears LEGO may have found the secret ingredient to that "highly addictive" formula...and pumped it into a video game for little kids...which we will surely be playing as well. Let's face it, if the VG version of LEGO Minifigures is half as enticing as the endless waves of actual minifigures toys in blind packaging, we are doomed. Say goodbye to your social life.
Get ready to meet the Minifigures! Collect them all and bring them with you on grand adventures in LEGO Minifigures Online - an epic online adventure where you get to explore colorful locations such as Pirate World, Space World and Medieval World!

LEGO Minifigures Series 9
Some addictions...you just have to kick. For me, it was army building. Why have 1 Battle Troll when you ca have 13??!! Why do I need this Clone Trooper? BECAUSE HE'S BLUE!!! THE LAST ONE WAS GREEN!!!! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN ASK SUCH A QUESTION??!! It all leads to madness. One addiction I nipped in the bud before it got too bad was LEGO Minifigures...those ultra frustrating, blind packaged, over priced, single packed figures o doom. To those of you still hooked on this plastic crack, I bow my head...and submit the rumored list for Series 9. God have mercy on my soul.RUMORED LIST - Alien Trooper, Chicken Suit Guy, Maid Marion, Heroic Knight, Cyclops, Mermaid, Fortune Teller, Dr. Splitz, Roller Derby Girl, Judge, Battle Mech, Caesar, Downtown Cop, Plumber, Waiter and Hollywood Starlet.
My favorite would be Steampunk Two Face. Bring em' on. Thanks to Matt Booker for the intel!

LEGO Mini Figures...Beware the Brick

Those regular readers of my blog know I've been fighting an addiction for many years now. Army Building. Weather it be Hoth Snowtroopers or Rebels, Hydra Agents or Sentinels...if they are a force too numerous to be stopped, I want 30 of them to represent. It's...a problem...and I'm dealing with it, as my armies are beginning to infringe on me sleeping space..but LEGO collectors aren't so lucky. The LEGO company have turned evil enablers by releasing their Minifigure lines, 16 figures at a time for the low low price of 2 bucks a pop. The catch? BLIND PACKAGING!! You never know what you are going to get, so while you may be buying a handful in the hopes of scoring a Dracula, you'll most likely wind up with an army of Mimes and Mariachi Band Members. Here's a poor soul named Hillel Cooperman of http://lego.cooperman.net recorded at BrickCon 2010 in Seattle. Feel his pain.I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and at 2 dollars, I didn't mind jumping in to give you a look. Unfortunately, I'm late to the party, so I've set my sights on Dracula, the Witch and Disco Stu rather than series 1's awesome offerings of Zombie, Ninja, Robot, Robin Hood and Gun Fighter. BAA!! I made my peace and in 9 packs, got 2 Mariachis, a Ringmaster, a Scoot Cop, a Brit Explorer, 2 Female Lifeguards, a Mime and a Karate Champ. After the initial building and some fumbling with the Mariachis due to stupid fingers, I decided to see what original figures I could make from my bits. Sadly, I didn't have long black hair or a knife to make my Mariachi into Machete, but I did pull off three scenes.

Scene 1: DJ Paulie D from Jersey Shore Hits on a Beach Hotty

Scene 2: Mexican Dayworkers Flee for freedom

Scene 3: 70's Porn Scenario
Fun for the whole family!
