Star Wars: Detours Revealed

Star Wars Detours™ is an animated comedy that explores what daily life is like in a galaxy far, far away. There are no Empires striking back or attacking clones here. Instead, Star Wars Detours focuses on the universe’s regular folks and their everyday problems… which, to be fair, do frequently involve famous bounty hunters, crazed Ewoks, and even a Dark Lord of the Sith.

Welcome to Star Wars: Detours: the other side of the stars, between the wars. Technically it takes place between Episodes 3 and 4..if you keep track of such stuff.

It's the brain child of the Robot Chicken crew who just happen to be massive Star Wars fans. The cast includes Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, Ahmed Best, Seth MacFarlane, Jennifer Hale, Dee Bradley Baker, Joel McHale, Nat Faxon, Cree Summers, Felicia Day, Abraham Benrubi, Weird Al Yankovic, Zachary Levi, Donald Faison and most definitely Breckin Meyer & Seth Green.

What more do you need to know?! I'm sold. Here's some eye candy!

100th Episode of Robot Chicken Brings Robo Sex Cam

Though...is it really robophilia if the individual in question eying up the robot for sexing is a chicken?? DISCUSS! Robot Chicken gives back to the community on their birthday with a live webcam of everyone's favorite Humping Robot taking a break from juke boxes and washing machines to show a little tender metal love to...a chicken. This is particularly hysterical if you turn the cam on and get back to work, intending to check back periodically. The music plays sensual sounds of pre-love makin' while the chicken clucks away. This is sure to draw the attention of all your cubicle neighbors. See??!! Robot Chicken brings people together...and robots...and chickens.

The 100th episode of Robot Chicken, the Emmy Award®-winning series, premieres Sunday, Jan. 15 at 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Adult Swim. Created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich and their Stoopid Monkey Productions banner, Robot Chicken uses stop-motion animation to bring pop-culture parodies to life in a modern take on the variety/sketch show format.

“I'm proud and a bit shocked that we reached this milestone,” said Green. “It's great to work with people you like and we are thrilled that the show's fans continue to support our show and that our guest stars still like to come and play with us.”

To celebrate this momentous milestone for the series, Adult Swim has launched a five-day live action web cam event that asks and answers the probing question: ‘What happens when a robot and a live chicken are left alone in a motel room?’ Fans can watch all the action online starting today at RobotChicken.com, as a sweeping soap opera style romance unfolds before their eyes. The event will feature special guest star appearances throughout the week and viewers can have a say in what happens in the story via Facebook voting and posting comments, including naming the chicken. Fans can also follow the action on Twitter (#chickencamlove). Green, Senreich and Robot Chicken head writers/executive producers Tom Root and Douglas Goldstein, writer/producer Mike Fasolo, writers Zeb Wells, Matt Beans, Jessica Gao and executive producers Eric Towner and John Harvatine IV will be sending in their reactions via Skype all week long.

“Adult Swim always seems to venture into new territory with their promotions and we love to follow them down every crazy road or in this case, to a chicken-sized motel room,” said Senreich.

In the 100th episode, the creators imagine what the movie Sex and the City 3 would be like if made more guy friendly, Yogi Bear battles with the Power Rangers from Jellystone Park, find out why no one cares about Woody Woodpecker anymore and see the nail-biting, hair-raising, super big finish of season five in Robot Chicken’s 100th episode finale!

One thing we can promise about the season finale...

Bitch Puddin Y'all.

Robot Chicken Star Wars Episode 3 Sneak Preview

Next weekend is not only the epic opening weekend of TRON: Legacy, but that Sunday, Robot Chicken takes us back to the STAR WARS UNIVERSE!! Our friends at RC Incorporated offer us an unedited look into the secret lives of Boba Fett, Darth Vader, The Emperor, the last surviving member of the Jedi Council and...a Stormtrooper named Gary. The hour long special is filled with the usual poo and fart jokes for the die hard fans, but its when the boys prove their undying love for the series and conjure up magical moments, answering all the "What Ifs" you can possibly think up, that the show is more hysterical than stop motion has a right to be. It's not just things they have the characters say but how long they can string along a joke, successfully, excellent pacing and execution a gag that will have you falling out of your chair. Amazing work and to be sure. An instant geek masterpiece. Here's some info straight from the Robot Chicken crew...

Robot Chicken returns to that galaxy far, far away for a brand-new Star Wars-themed special premiering December 19 at 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Adult Swim. Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III, to be directed by Chris McKay, marries the satirical sensibilities of Seth Green and Matthew Senreich’s (Stoopid Monkey Productions) Emmy®-winning Robot Chicken with characters of the Star Wars universe.

“We tell more of a linear story this time that covers the series from start to finish,” says Green. Senreich says, “We wanted to take the Star Wars universe and see if through the eyes of our Robot Chicken: Star Wars Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Gary the Stormtrooper. We still flip around the universe but we get a unique perspective from the bad guy side, from people who just want to rule the universe.”

Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III features Zac Efron as Anakin Skywalker, Anthony Daniels (from the original Star Wars films) as C3PO, Mike Henry (The Cleveland Show) and Donald Glover (Community), all making their first appearance in RCSW. Also returning from the previous specials are Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian and Ahmed Best as Jar Jar Binks along with returning favorites Green, Senreich, Breckin Meyer, Seth MacFarlane, Dan Milano, Abe Benrubi, Donald Faison, Rachael Leigh Cook, Adrianne Pallicki, Eden Espinosa, Hugh Davidson, Bob Bergen, Keith Ferguson, Tom Kane and Zeb Wells.

The press also mentions Senreich and Green are creative consultants on Lucasfilm’s upcoming animated comedic Star Wars series and with Root, are creators/executive producers/writers of an animated pilot for Fox. Green is also the star of Disney’s Mars Needs Moms, a performance capture film that Robert Zemeckis produced a la Polar Express that will be released in March, 2011.

But none of that is as important as Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III premiering December 19 at 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Adult Swim!! It's so funny, you'll have to split open a Tauntaun and stick your head inside to stop from laughing. No lie.

ROBOT CHICKEN STAR WARS 3 IS COMING!!

Robot Chicken. The most relevant barometer of pop culture coolness in our time...orrrr...the largest collection of poop and penis jokes ever created!!!??? I like to think it is a little bit of both. Seth Green, Matt Senreich and the rest of the insanely geeky crew aspire to nothing less than raping your childhood dreams on a daily basis with stop motion magic...15 minutes at a time. Among their favorite films to poke fun at has always been Star Wars and now, its become a major event! Not since Robot Chicken Star Wars 2 have we seen so much animation making fun of Star Wars!!! Yea..that's the best I've got. I've got a cold and I blew my creativity on the movie review. Bite me. BEHOLD!! TRAILERS!!

December 19th, tune in to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and geek out with the rest of the planet.

Robot Chicken : Destroyer of Planets

There is only one show on TV where you can tune in and count on the oddest cross overs your geekified mind can handle. That show is called Robot Chicken. With Trump like toy resources and far too much time to make odd noises at each other, sometimes the boys like to abandon the stop motion format in favor of some old school, child like "hand motion" (so named..cuz you use yo hand. pervs.) to bring their favorite toys to LIFE!!! Observe...

Follow those durn Robot Chicken boys at http://twitter.com/cyborgturkey and tune into the show weeknights on Cartoon Network on their Adult Swim block. I swear the animation is better than this.
