Norman Reedus "Portraits From The Woods" BTS Photography from The Walking Dead
In this brand-new electrifying book of photography by Norman Reedus, he captures moments behind the scenes of TWD as only Norman could deliver. With his unique sense of humor, traveling into the Georgian woods with Norman’s cast of characters and zombies, alongside portraits of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hideo Kojima, Lena Dunham, Diane Kruger, Dave Chapelle and many more to reveal the individuals that inhabit his life.
Norman has an indelible way of capturing the beauty and mystery in others. His photographs are beautiful and terrifying, macabre and provoking, alternately dark, and sublime.

“The Walking Dead” Director and Effects Specialist, Greg Nicotero has been tapped for Todd McFarlane’s New “Spawn” Movie
Nicotero, an award-winning executive producer, director, and make-up special effects creator on THE WALKING DEAD has come on board, with his company KNB EFX, to create the new Spawn design for the upcoming McFarlane/ Blumhouse Spawn feature film.
McFarlane, Nicotero and KNB EFX Group, worked together on the 1997 Spawn movie.
“I'm a long-time fan of Greg’s work and the projects his company, KNB have done throughout the years,” said McFarlane “Working with him once again, to re-invent the Spawn 'look' so it will match the supernatural theme in the movie, is going to be a fun process.”

SDCC 2018: The Walking Dead Season 9 Trailer
Not a teaser...not a sneak peek...not some quick glimpse into one episode with shadows and shots of feet and people screaming and we don't have any idea what's really going on. THIS IS A MEATY BITE!! Last night, San Diego Comic-Con 2018 crowds were treated to a healthy helping of Robert Kirkman's zombie apocalypse as the story of survival continues on AMC's Walking Dead Season 9, and since we live in the future and need things nearly instantaneously, WE GET TO WATCH TOO!! How will Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes exit the show? What are Maggie and Daryl cooking up? Where's Negan? You'll have to wait until October 7th to find out, but for now, here's a little zombie blood to wet your appetite!

Toy Fair 2017: McFarlane Color Tops Action Figures with Labyrinth, One Punch Man, Destiny & More
Back into the Toy Fair 2017 coverage with more killer McFarlane news from our friend M@ Hawkins! This time, we dive into McFarlane's return to the 7 inch, semi-posable action figure format they created so many years ago. We've only just begin getting our fix of Color Tops action figures and Mcfarlane has major plans unfolding in 2017 which reach into the worlds of TV, film, Anime, comic books and video games. Some of the items are extensions of lines we've seen shown at last year's big geek events, some are logical jumping off points from those licenses and some had us falling out of our chairs in surprise. Let's get into it!!
NOTE: Like a lot of things at Toy Fair, these images are of prototypes, mock ups and place holders for the actual toys, which will be completed further down the line.

Toy Fair 2017: Funko Makes Toys of EVERYTHING
Last week we unveiled toys from Kong: Skull Island. As we seemed to be a source for new toy news, someone on Twitter asked if anyone would be tackling several licenses he liked. One among them was Mr. Robot. We said it's not very likely. What we should have added was "except for Funko Pops!" When the world of plastics shuns your favorite movie, TV show, cartoon or pop culture icon, you can be sure Funko has looked long and hard at it and probably said "Yea, we can make that." Let's take a look at the MOUNTAIN of collectibles on tap for Funko moving into 2017!

NYCC 2016: The Walking Dead: All Out War Miniatures Game
We cover more than our fair share of toys here at Idle Hands, so it was inevitable that we would zero in on the newest collectibles at Image Comics while scouring the floor at New York Comic Con 2016! These folks aren't known for releasing a great many fantastic plastics, but their Saga comic action figure boxed set is 100% drool worthy and this year's NYCC exclusive Lying Cat statue was painfully hard to resist. While making whimpering sounds up against Lying Cat's Plexiglas enclosure, something caught my eye at the far end of the booth and I ran over to investigate. Greeting me was a very pleasant man and a tabletop miniatures game called The Walking Dead: All Out WAR!!! Let's check out what was inside...

Fear The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season Special Edition
Following an initial release this past December, Anchor Bay Entertainment announced today the latest inventive and heart-racing AMC original series “Fear the Walking Dead: The Complete First Season” arrives on SPECIAL EDITION on March 22, 2016. Created by Robert Kirkman (“The Walking Dead”) and Dave Erickson (“Sons of Anarchy”), “Fear the Walking Dead”, premiered in August as the #1 show in cable history. These 2-disc sets with collectible lenticular packaging include hours of bonus content including 5 deleted scenes, 7 newly produced featurettes and audio commentaries on every episode.
Living in the same universe as “The Walking Dead”, “Fear the Walking Dead” is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in Los Angeles, a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark (Kim Dickens, Gone Girl) and English teacher Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis, “Missing”) have managed to assemble. The everyday pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold, and the dysfunctional family must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories.

The Walking Dead: Mid-Season Premiere Trailer **Spoiler Warnings**
When we last saw our merry band of miserable zombie apocalypse survivors, they were about to wade through a sea of the undead with only their fabulous coats of many bloody colors to mask their delicious, meaty human aroma. Of course, a somewhat unhinged, yelling child might throw a wrench in those plans. WHOOOO WILL BE EATEN??!! Tune in February 12th and find out! Until then, AMC provides a little trailer tease of what's to come while reminding us of what's in play, and what's at stake.

NYCC 2014: McFarlane's Next Walking Dead Action Figure Waves
New York Comic Con is at an odd time of year when companies are pitching all their new toys for the foreseeable future to retailers across the globe, but a lot of their releases have already been revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. This means a lot of what you see at NYCC has already been seen..with some exceptions. McFarlane is pushing their construction toy lineup hardcore at the show, dominating most of their display cases. We don't really shoot the sports stuff because..sports..and we've seen the Assassin's Creed and HALO stuff before. That leaves us to pour over the Walking Dead display to see if there is something new we can drool over. SCORE.

SDCC 2014: A McFarlane Walking Dead Sneak Preview
McFarlane Toys will always be known for bringing horror back to the world of action figures with their now legendary Movie Maniacs line, and have further cemented their place in toy history with an excellent run of Walking Dead action figures. Todd McFarlane took some time from preparing for San Diego Comic-Con to answer our geekiest questions and give a teaser of a new line we'll be seeing on the show floor!
We started out with a question that's been eating away at me for a good long time. When you establish a line of incredibly popular 7 inch horror figures, why switch over to a 5 inch world of zombies? Todd explained that not everything is always an artistic choice. Sometimes, things simply come down to what a retailer asks for ...be that price or style, and in this case scale. Retailers expressed that all the other companies were reducing the size of their figures and that they'd like us to follow suit. “When the people who are buying tell you what they want to buy, you usually accommodate them or risk becoming a dinosaur. You won't survive very long.”
