Toy Fair 2010: Hasbro: Marvel Legends 2 Packs

Marvel Legends 2 packs are coming this fall! Yea, I know. That’s a very long wait for new 6 inch figures, but at least we’ve got some Iron Man pieces hitting before then! CLICK HERE for the full deal on the Iron Man 2 movie and comic lines. Right now, we’ll focus on my favorite scale. Toys R Us will have new 2 packs with …

  • Deadpool (fan choice) and Weapon X Warpath
  • Black Widow and Winter Soldier
  • Valkyrie and Ed McGuiness Hulk

You can bet cash money that Hulk will have a red variant. Maybe a blond haired Black Widow? I'd love to see Winter Soldier swapped with Bucky as Captain America. Maybe a blue and gold X-Men uniform for Deadpool and classic colors for Warpath? Got some ideas of your own? Leave them below!

Secret Celeb Meetings at Toy Fair 2010

While the rest of us were banging away at Toy Fair 2010 coverage, Hasbro played host to their returning Iron Man ( Robert Downey Jr ) and their new Stretch Armstrong ( Taylor Lautner ). Hasbro shared these pics of the hijinks with us. You'll notice an interesting figure in RDJ's hands! That is a new 6 inch figure due for release later this year.

Quirk Books Presents Android Karenina

From the fine folks who brought you Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters comes..something completely different! Coming June 8th, 2010...

Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters
coauthor Ben H. Winters is back with an all-new collaborator, legendary Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy, and the result is Android Karenina: an enhanced edition of the classic love story set in a strange new world of robots, cyborgs, and interplanetary travel.

As in the original novel, our story follows two relationships: the tragic adulterous romance of Anna Karenina and Count Alexei Vronsky, and the much more hopeful marriage of Nikolai Levin and Kitty Shcherbatskaya. These four, yearning for true love, live in a steampunk-inspired 19th century of mechanical butlers, extraterrestrial-worshiping cults, and airborne debutante balls. Their passions alone would be enough to consume them—but when a secret cabal of radical scientific revolutionaries launches an attack on Russian high society’s high-tech lifestyle, our heroes must fight back with all their courage, all their gadgets, and all the power of a sleek new cyborg model like nothing the world has ever seen.

Filled with the same blend of romance, drama, and fantasy that made the first two Quirk Classics New York Times best sellers, Android Karenina brings this celebrated series into the exciting world of science fiction.

Toy Fair 2010: Hasbro: Iron Man 2

Hasbro is gearing up for Iron Man 2 with a broader range of toys which delve deeper into Tony Stark’s little corner of the Marvel universe with new armors, more exclusives, more different types of figures and vehicles..well..basically more of everything since they know you love the tin man!

Action Figures: Dollar Stores will see a special line of 3 inch figures with limited articulation, exclusive only to those stores. The line kicks off with Mark 3 and 6 armors as well as War Machine as well as others we were not told about. Look for these March 1st.

Spin Master: How to Train Your Dragon Toy Line

Moving on to the second line inexplicably absent from the US Toy Fair 2010, we'll take a look at How to Train Your Dragon! I'm still amazed that for once, they showed something at UK and NOT in the US, so neither camps have live pics now. Odd. Anyway, this line has me excited, as any opportunity to give dragon toys to my nephew is a good day. He's got the Imaginext Dinosaurs and I just started him on Megabloks Dragons, so this line is PERFECT to segway him right into action figures! You'll notice some differences in my pics between items that look similar. Half the images came from Spin Master who sent the optimized press pics. The others were released by Walmart (the exclusive outlet for the line) and reflect the actual product. Click the images to super size. Here's the press...

From the Studio that brought you “Shrek”, “Madagascar” and “Kung Fu Panda” comes “How to Train Your Dragon”. Set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, this is the story of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t exactly fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges he and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view.
Spin Master brings the movie characters and story to life with its “How to Train Your Dragon” toy line. Battle dragons, role play your favourite characters, soar through the air like a dragon, and more! Age: 5+
