Disney Kills Star Wars Expanded Universe...?
"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."
Die hard fans expected this, but to actually (sort of ) see it in print is another thing all together. The children of Han Solo and Princess Leia..Shadows of the Empire..the many adventures of Dengar..Boba Fett paling around with the Sarlac Pitt...gone in the blink of an eye with one Tweet, possibly ending the existence of all Star Wars Expanded Universe stories.
A website with the amazing name TheHothSpot caught this story as the question was asked and answered via Twitter. Is the goal to have one cohesive universe (under Disney's direction)? Leland Chee, Continuity Database Administrator (aka keeper of the stories and where they fit in) for Lucasfilm Story Group answered "That's definitely a primary goal".

Marvel Taking On Star Wars
We knew it was only a matter of time and we'll be sad to see Dark Horse's runs end!
The Walt Disney Company’s Lucasfilm Ltd. and Marvel Entertainment are joining forces to bring new Star Wars adventures to readers across the galaxy, with Marvel granted exclusive rights to create and publish Star Wars comics and graphic novels beginning in 2015.
The agreement marks a homecoming for the Star Wars comic books. Marvel Comics published the first Star Wars comic book, Star Wars #1, in March 1977, which went on to sell more than 1 million copies. Marvel Comics published its Star Wars series for nine years. In 1991, Dark Horse Comics took over the license, publishing fan-favorite titles like Dark Empire and Star Wars: Legacy. Last year, Dark Horse released The Star Wars #1, an adaptation of George Lucas’ original rough-draft screenplay for the film, garnering rave reviews and national media attention and ranking among the top-selling Star Wars comics of all time.

A Fantastic Fear of Everything
Dread Central tips us off on a title that slipped through the cracks in my geeky life. Hey, I can't be aware of everything! You'd think they'd catch on we love and will promote anything Simon Pegg is involved with by now! So..yea..I blame society.
Jack (Simon Pegg) is a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his 'big break' rapidly turns into his 'big breakdown', as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons, among them his love life, his laundry, and the origin of all fear.

Director James Gunn Expands on Guardians of the Galaxy Details
Disney dished out their 2014 film slate yesterday and buried among their images and info was a brand new picture of the now infamous lineup of the Guardians of the Galaxy heroes. We last saw a version of this police station style character rundown in concept art form and even now that we've seen the actual actors in place, Director James Gunn says we aren't getting the "complete" picture. Suffice to say, SPOILERS ahead...
"Okay, so I suppose Disney released this still from Guardians of the Galaxy. It was featured in the San Diego Comicon trailer, and is an early (truthfully, quite unfinished - we've come a long way from here) look at Rocket and Groot, Star-Lord, Gamora, and Drax. The press release reads like this:"

DC Collectibles Colossal Clayface Figure
It seems every year, DC Collectibles is looking to outdo themselves in sculpt detail and scale, particularly in their Arkham Asylum Video Game action figure lines. 2014 will be no different with a gargantuan fiend that will make your Titan Joker look a little under nourished.
The monstrous Clayface can take any shape—including that of an awesome action figure like this brand new one based on the villain’s appearance from Batman: Arkham City.
