Prepare to Horde: Hi-C Ghostbusters Ecto Cooler is Returning
Fans of the ghoulish green goodness of Hi-C Ecto Cooler have one more reason to celebrate the return of the Ghostbusters franchise to the silver screen. This summer, the juice drink of choice for those nostalgic for the ‘80s and ‘90s will officially return to store shelves for a limited time. Its resurgence comes after a 15-year hiatus, much to the delight of fans everywhere. Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15, 2016.
“Hi-C Ecto Cooler fueled a pop culture phenomenon that is well remembered and beloved by fans to this day” said Charles Torrey, Vice President, Minute Maid/Hi-C Brands, Coca-Cola North America. “Sony Pictures was extremely enthusiastic about bringing it back for this special occasion, and the timing of the upcoming Ghostbusters film made this the exact right time.”

Best In Geek 2013: Emi Gets Random
By Emilie Noetzel
Much like Andrew, most of the readers of Idle Hands know only that I go to a growing number of conventions and festivals where I do photography and nerd out. To better let you all know me, or maybe be more confused about my randomness, here is my Best of Geek in 2013.

Best books:
(These are books I read in 2013,
not necessarily books that came out in 2013. I do read a ton of books per year and do tend to forget the “not so
amazing” ones.)
Abarat: Absolute Midnight by
Clive Barker
Clive Barker is a master at weaving tales of horror, terror, and magic. Yes, tales of magic, like this one, the third book in his YA series Abarat. Like the two books that came before, Abarat follows the adventures of Candy Quakenbush through the land of the Abarat. It may be a book aimed at young adults or teens, but it is not too childish or too immature for a full grown up (like this 33 year old) to enjoy. The paintings found in the book add a lot to the story, further fleshing out the characters and land as well as giving the reader a better idea of what the author had envisioned for the story.

Best In Geek 2013 - Part 1: Andrew's Picks
So I’ve been writing a few articles for Idle Hands over the last couple months, and it occurred to me that you (yes, you again) the reader knows nothing about me. And I mean nothing. All you know is that I went to NYCC, and read some Image and Dark Horse comics once in a while. Personally, I think this is a travesty and you should know a few more things about me, but I’m not just gonna write a personal ad and drone on and on about myself. No, I’m gonna make this fun, and what’s more fun than an END OF THE YEAR AWARDS SHOW! (Well not a show, per se. You get the point.) It’s December, and each year I like to take some time and reflect on the last 12 months in media and pick my favorites. I’ve done this twice before on a podcast I host once in a while, and I thought this would be the best thing to bring to Idle Hands. The categories are as Follows:

Black Milk Tease Their Hobbits
Among all the things that make it difficult to be a Lady Geek in the world we exist in today...resisting awesome but expensive geek fashion has to be high up there as one of the worst day to day activities. Black Milk can be listed right along Satan as a leading tempter of humankind with their Star Wars dresses and leggings and when they announced they'd be venturing into Lord of the Rings/ Hobbit territory...you could call them downright evil. Today we get a sneak preview of what you can expect from the line...which is probably exactly what you thought you could expect...
See..guys only get tempted by fairly cheap dorky T shirts every day and MAYBE the occasional phaser burned red shirt tie from Anovos. Weep for your sisters! Only through solidarity can we make it through. We shall overcome....hobbit dresses.
