Zolocon Summer 2023: Last Resort Toys' Upscaled Creeps

Artist Bryan Fulk is practically a one-man band, reviving wildly creative, vintage mini-figure monster lines like the Trash Bag Bunch Bunch and Diener Space Creatures. When his work is complete, we get select freaks upscaled 8 to 9 inches tall and cast in vinyl. To say it's a middle-aged monster kid's dream come true is stating the obvious!

We caught up with Bryan at the Summer edition of Pennsylvania's ZOLOCON to see what strange beasts we could expect next. Below you'll find pictures of old favorites Last Resort Toys had on display and for sale, alongside a preview of the next denizens to crawl out of the shadows!

Last Resort Resurrecting Retro Creeps

If I've said it once, I'll say it a thousand times more...this is a FAN FRIKKEN TASTIC time to be a geek! All our favorite movies are available in blazing Blu-ray, the retail shelves are filled with the likes of He-Man, Ghostbusters and Godzilla...and even something as obscure as Diener Space Creatures can get enough love to warrant a super sized resurgence! Those little eraser monsters that mirrored the far-out 50's scifi film creatures are making a comeback thanks to Last Resort Toys.

Anyone who has ever spent more than 5 minutes on Idle Hands knows I don't need Halloween to talk about spooky, creepy, toothy, bitey things! Never the less, we are closing in on the high holy holiday for my fellow horror nerds and monster groupees, and so we are bound to cover a nice pile of toys that could torment grandma...unless she's a cool grandma...and then they would be friends. MONSTER FRIENDS!! Today, we check out Larry the Pumpkin Monster by our new friends at Last Resort Toys. I met this crew online and we quickly bonded over our love for retro looking monsters and scifi creatures like Diener space creature erasers and Trash Bag Bunch figures, both of which have been biggie sized by Last Resort! We'll show that awesome stuff later, for today...is for LARRY!!
