NYCC 2026: More Hijinks and Shenanigans at Tenacious Collective

With our sights fixed on NYCC later this week, here is another wave of info about all the cool things to be found on our corner of the Tenacious Collective Booth 1771. Look for our big blue Danger Dog neon sign and the huge lighted glass case full of toys on the corner. We are just behind the big Crunchyroll booth!

NYCC 2026: Open to Interpretation Custom Show at Tenacious Booth

Under the bright lights and amidst the biggest crowds on the East Coast, there are a few very limited and highly coveted square feet inside glass cases. NYCC is a huge show with a quarter million sets of eyeballs that can view an artist's work... if they can place it there.

Most never get the opportunity.

That's why Alex Rivera (Playful Gorilla) suggested an open-call custom toy show to Tenacious CEO Benny Kline. They pounced quickly, orchestrating the call out to artists through the Tenacious Instagram. Everything happened within 24 hours after that post: 30+ artists secured their spots in the show, and in the big Tenacious glass case at Booth 1771. The best possible spot for an emerging artist at NYCC!

Dobeki's THRASHER at Tenacious Toys

Bro, Tenacious Toys is super stoked to drop the next variant of the legendary Dokebi's THRASHER Goblin vinyl art toy! This radical dude is a full 8 inches tall and towers over his little brother Puck, the Lil Painter, which was Chris Dokebi's first art toy.

THRASHER Goblin comes with his own skateboard with Danger Dog graphics, AND a killer sticker sheet full of correctly sized mini stickers that you can slap all over the deck of the skateboard!

With chunky skate shoes, a short sleeve hoodie and his tongue hangin out, this gnarly Goblin reminds us a lot of... Benny Kline, the grown up skater man-child that runs Tenacious Toys!

Last Resort Resurrecting Retro Creeps

If I've said it once, I'll say it a thousand times more...this is a FAN FRIKKEN TASTIC time to be a geek! All our favorite movies are available in blazing Blu-ray, the retail shelves are filled with the likes of He-Man, Ghostbusters and Godzilla...and even something as obscure as Diener Space Creatures can get enough love to warrant a super sized resurgence! Those little eraser monsters that mirrored the far-out 50's scifi film creatures are making a comeback thanks to Last Resort Toys.

Tenacious Toys Announces Danger Dog the Pit Bull Vinyl Toy

Tenacious Toys, veteran online vinyl toy shop, just released their first self-produced vinyl toy.

Danger Dog is a 5-inch vinyl pit bull figure with 1 point of articulation. Danger was sculpted up by Mike NEMO Mendez from the original 2-inch size. Previously, Tenacious Toys released Danger as a limited edition 2-inch resin figure in several colorways.

Dead Hand Toys helped produced the resin tooling masters for the factory, and the dog itself is a 3D interpretation of the mascot logo developed for Tenacious Toys by Alex "Playful Gorilla" Rivera.

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 : DKE Art Toy Exclusives

I had once thought the term Art Toy sounded a bit pretentious. Over time, I came to realize these vinyl beauties that dance across my computer screen often transcend the label of "toy" and become something more. There is still many a moment when I see a design for a new piece and go FUCK YEA! It's just damn fun and the term "art toy" seems to want to squash that spirit. Sooo..call them what you will, but beware! Strolling past the DKE booth (#4728) at San Diego Comic Con 2012 may force an emptying of your wallet. DKE always has a wide array of exclusives from many artists, so let's take a look at this year's goodies...

A Taste of Trek To Come

Watch their Facebook for details..click the pic to join up!

In the not too distant future, the mysterious and benign, extra-terrestrial Astral Overseers put into motion their master plan to help tip the balance of certain inequities on planet earth. They began to mutate a variety of animal species on Earth to evolve into self-aware or sentient life. This new level of animal life possessed all of their original feral strengths, speed, and qualities, an intelligence equal to that of humans, and some say, even new powers.

Immediately gaining a new and more profound understanding of the danger that certain humans presented to their kind, this new breed of sentient creatures remained hidden from human view for years as they developed their own society and culture, albeit somewhat loosely based and culled from observing humans and their media.

An immediate goal for these creatures was to organize, and begin resisting the human destruction and domination of what was once their "natural" habitat. Strangely, as they increased in strength, numbers, and sophistication, their tactics, tastes, and habits were increasingly becoming more "human" in many ways.

Full of conflict, contradiction, frustration, anger and the desire to save themselves and their world, a resistance movement emerged. The first of these resistance cells was the "Insurgents Wilderness Gruppo" . . . .

...and now they are in cute lil Star trek outfits. The End.
