Batman: The Complete Television Series Unboxing Video
For years, we were forced to watch that same Bat-time...same Bat-channel. Now, Warner Brothers Home Entertainment answers the call of legions of batman fans who demanded more than action figures, busts and mini figures...as great as all those things are. We wanted the original show with the beautiful clarity only Blu-ray could bring....and now...it's here. I weep the geekiest tears of joy. (Pre-order now and save 95 dollars!)

The Next DC Animated Film: Son of Batman
Based on the Batman story arc a lot of you have told me you didn't much care for, especially considering the thunderous applause heard across the internet when they killed off the lil Bat-brat, Warner Brothers Home Video premiered their first trailer for Son of Batman today. Voice actors include Jason O'Mara as Batman/Bruce Wayne; Stuart Allan as Damian; Morena Baccarin as Talia, Damian's mother; Giancarlo Esposito as Ra's Al Ghul; David McCallum as Alfred Pennyworth; Xander Berkeley as Kirk Langstrom (Man-Bat); and Thomas Gibson as Deathstroke.
Ok...I'm intrigued...but only just. Hit the jump for the trailer...

Superman Unbound Blu-ray Reviewed
**SPOILER WARNING. DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT ANYTHING REVEALED TO YOU!** Writing a new Superman story must always be challenging. You've got this alien being who is invulnerable, super fast, super strong, ice breathe, heat vision, he can fly and on and on. It takes a lot to smack this guy upside the head and make him even acknowledge it happened, so for me, the most compelling Superman stories have always been about his humanity and his heart. He's an alien, so even though he looks human, he never quite feels like one of us. Just think of how he perceives the world with super amplified senses. It's enough to drive one away from all human contact, but there he sits in the middle of an overpopulated city, pretending to be someone far weaker than he really is. In the past, animated films like All Star Superman and Superman VS The Elite have explored these frailties in the Man of Steel with excellent writing alongside the super powered action we've come to expect. That is surely one way to make a killer animated super hero film. Another is to pit him against an equally powerful alien force, strong enough to make him question whether he is up to the task, and let him pound it out.

Superman Unbound
As is tradition when the latest DC Universe Animated Original Movie drops in our lap, we provide you with a preview of the next film in line! Would it kill Warner Brothers to make a movie that isn't Batman or Superman or Batman and Superman at least ONCE a year? Yes...yes it would...so we present...the next Superman epic...SUPERMAN UNBOUND...
The story is loosely adapted from the 5 issue mini series "Superman: Braniac" having something to do with Superman being over protective of the ones he loves, Supergirl finding out her parents are within the Bottled City of Kandor (the last remaining piece of Krypton, miniaturized and kept safe by Superman) and Brainiac treating the man of steel as if he were a minor annoyance...like a gnat to be swatted away. Brainiac is looking to scoop up Metropolis and use it as a source for information about the planet Earth before he destroys it. There's said to be a lot of the powerhouse throwdowns we love to see in these DC animated films, but also a very heavy emotional side to the story. The DC Animation Crew is looking to veer away from following the comic stories beat for beat in the future.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 Preview

To add to your pre-game excitement, we thought we'd pull some eye candy from the preview of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2! There wasn't a whole lot to chew on in this installment as it almost seems like Warner Bros want to keep the juicy screen grabs for themselves, so we'll just have to make due with some test animation captures to give you a sense of the incredible movement and forced perspectives within this film. Hell..it's The Dark Knight Returns!! If the animation crew didn't go all out on this one, they'd be run out of town. Here's the pretty...

Now averaging three releases each year, the DCU animated films are based on classic tales from DC Comics’ revered library or original stories featuring DC’s fabled characters.
