Cryptozoic and Warner Bros. Announce Kickstarter for DC Heroes Role-Playing Game 40th Anniversary

Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of tabletop games, trading cards, and collectibles, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, today announced the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for DC Heroes Role-Playing Game 40th Anniversary.

The campaign brings back the legendary role-playing game that premiered in 1985 and subsequently featured dozens of adventure and sourcebook releases, many featuring contributions from some of DC’s finest writers and artists of the 1980s—Jack Kirby, Alan Moore, Denny O’Neil, George Perez, John Byrne, and many others. Thousands of gamers and comics fans are still playing DC Heroes, even though it has been unavailable outside of the secondary market for decades. The campaign is reprinting the product line in definitive archival editions that are entirely faithful to the content of the originals with upgraded paper quality and premium binding. Fans will be able to preorder the two DC Heroes box sets and choose from several bundles of the many books. Adding to the experience are premium accessories such as slipcases, oversized dice based on DC Super Heroes like Superman and Batman, a dice tray, and bookmarks.

At Booth #2201, it will sell the ECCC-exclusive Cosmic Bigfoot vinyl figure, part of the Cryptkins™ Unleashed line of figures. In addition, the company will have the new Harley Quinn The Suicide Squad Movie Collectible vinyl figure; four different DC Hand Statues, including the new Batman Batarang Statue: Gotham City Grit Edition; and Cryptkins figures.

NYCC 2018: Cryptozoic Street Fighter, Rick and Morty, DC Comics Collectibles & More

Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and physical and digital collectibles, today announced that it will sell six exclusive vinyl figures, several convention-exclusive trading cards, and selected tabletop games at Booth #244 at New York Comic Con 2018, October 4-7 at the Javits Center.

The exclusive figures include the newest Golden Goddess collectible and variants of figures from Cryptozoic’s most popular lines, including DC Lil Bombshells, DC TeekeezTM, DC Pumps, and CryptkinsTM. In addition, the company will sell Series 3 of its DC Bombshells figures and the Outlander: Jamie Fraser figure, a Cryptozoic-exclusive sold at conventions and online directly from the company. The convention-exclusive trading cards being offered are based on Rick and MortyOutlander, and Cryptkins. Finally, Cryptozoic will sell several tabletop games, including Rick and Morty: The Pickle Rick GamePantoneTM: The Game, and the newest game in the fan-favorite DC Deck-Building Game series.

Cryptozoic Bringing Games from Rick and Morty, DC Comics & More to Gencon 2018

Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and physical and digital collectibles, today announced that it will showcase current and upcoming games at Gen Con, August 2-5 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

At Booth #601, Cryptozoic will demo and sell limited pre-release quantities of several of its highly anticipated upcoming games, including Rick and Morty: The Pickle Rick Game, Pantone: The Game, DC Spyfall, DC Deck-Building Game: Crisis Expansion Pack 4, and Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Panic at the Pleasure Palace. In addition, it will sell Million Dollars, But… The Game before its release in partnership with Rooster Teeth on August 8. The company will feature many of its recent releases as well, such as Rick and Morty: The Ricks Must Be Crazy Multiverse Game and Wallet. Finally, it will conduct several tournaments and preview releases for later this year, like Cult: Choose Your God Wisely.

Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, announced the release of the Batman: The Animated Series Almost Got ’Im Card Game. The 5-8 player social deduction game is based on the classic “Almost Got ’Im” episode of Batman: The Animated Series in which Gotham City’s most infamous rogues play poker and tell stories about almost defeating Batman, not knowing one of them is actually Batman in disguise. Players take on the roles of various DC Super-Villains of the Caped Crusader, one of whom is secretly Batman. The action centers around participants gathering the poker cards needed to activate special abilities. The Super-Villain players use their abilities and guile to try and figure out which of them is Batman, while the Batman player tries to defeat the Super-Villains before they discover his or her identity.

Cryptozoic Entertainment Releases Cartoon Network Crossover Crisis Deck-Building Game

Cryptozoic Entertainment (cryptozoic.com), under license from Cartoon Network, announces the release of the Cartoon Network Crossover Crisis Deck-Building Game. With many successful launches in the Cerberus Engine line, including standalone versions as well as expansion packs, this new release is highly anticipated and features fan favorite characters from many current and classic Cartoon Network animated series. This newest standalone game will release on April 13 and is fully compatible with all previous Cerberus Engine releases.
