It seems to be the rallying cry here at Idle Hands, and something we say...probably every 5 or so articles...but it bears repeating. WHAT A GREAT TIME IT IS TO BE A GEEK!!! ABC shares our boundless joy with a sort of mini celebration of the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe with a special called "Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe" (airing Tuesday, March 18 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

“Gear up. It’s time.” Marvel Studios’ upcoming blockbuster – Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be hitting the theatres worldwide in just a few weeks. Hot Toys is preparing a range of collectibles from the movie and will also be hosting exhibitions in a number of countries in the near future.

Well now...for those eagerly awaiting Avengers 2...this might very well tide you over! Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 4th....EXACTLY ONE MONTH AWAY!! Today we get a sense of the nonstop action we are in for....the battles...the carnage...the super powered badasses filling the screen at every turn...AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN CROSSBONES OR BATROC IN ACTION YET!!! Minor miracle a film is so close to release and there will still be surprises awaiting us on opening day. Hearty back pats for the Marvel Studios marketing team.

Toy Fair 2014: Diamond Select Prepares for Captain America: Winter Soldier

It's that time of year where giant size corporations snag the most sought after toy reveals, shouting to their teaming masses about things their demographic generally cares nothing about. Yea, yea...I'm bitter. Today MTV takes a break from Teen Mothers and Macklemore's Tweets to reveal a small stack of Diamond Select's Captain America Winter Soldier merchandise. Here's the weird part...and this happens every year as well...particularly to Diamond. Marvel/Disney must have straight up given Diamond (ie; Previews Magazine) the go ahead to reveal Falcon from Hasbro's 3.75 inch action figure line (which we showed off HERE), but could there still be some mandate that Captain America's Stealth Suit (seen in action figure pictures and the trailer) be somewhat secret??!! Check this. To the left is the suit in question via the Marvel Select Captain America: Winter Soldier Action Figure, which has been kept under a silhouette until today. Notice the oddball thing? Take a closer look...

2013 Marvel Movies Taking Shape

Raise your hand if you are still crazy happy we got an Avengers movie this year that blew minds!! Disney/ Marvel plans to keep that momentum going into "Phase 2" in 2013 and has solidified that lineup with some minor detail changes...
