Avengers: Endgame - Massive Toy Spoiler Discovered

**WARNING:: SPOILERS AHEAD!! duh**
We all saw the snap. In moments, half the sentient beings (we can assume EVERYWHERE) were turned to dust at the whim of a madman obsessed with his twisted version of balance, wielding the most powerful weapon every assembled. With all 6 infinity stones locked into a gauntlet, one could conceivably accomplish anything they wished. As we head into the Endgame, how can a band of Earth's Mightiest Heroes hope to avenge their fallen friends and stop Thanos' reign of terror? We've got some ideas.. some obvious... and one big one.

Possible First Advertising Image from Thor: Ragnarok

HOLY DAMN...it is time. Maybe. Possibly. No idea where this came from but it landed squarely in my email box and I've been geeking out over it ever since. It's no surprise to people that have been keeping tabs that Hulk will get his due screen time in the third Thor film, after both were absent from Captain America: Civil War, but people were wondering just how much we might see the two titanic brawlers side-by-side. This new image might shed some light...or just make the lot of you skeptical that this is what we'll get in the last 10 minutes of the film. NON BELIEVERS!!

Captain Marvel Movie Coming...Soon?

The latest pitch into the pile of movies on Marvel/Disney's slate for the foreseeable future (read til the end of time) sees Disney's excellent influence inserting itself. I give partial props to Marvel for the decision to entertain the idea of a female driven Captain Marvel movie, but I'm also positive having a company like Disney backing this play (if not fully influencing it due to a history of strong female characters in wildly successful animated features even without the singing and dancing), is going a long way to POSSIBLY push this project forward, perhaps even past some other male heroes waiting in the wings. If there's one thing Marvel loves doing, maybe more than putting out excellent stories and creating killer movies, it's sticking it to DC Comics...and those bastards just refused to let Batwoman marry another woman in her comic. Worst. Idea. Ever.

SDCC 2013: Concept Art Reveals Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Looks

The Marvel Studios panel just wrapped at San Diego Comic-Con 2013. Want to get a good idea of what Drax, Rocket Raccoon and friends will look like in the new Guardians of the Galaxy film? Take a peek...

SDCC 2013: And the Next Avengers Movie is Titled...

From ComicVine: Set in an apocalyptic future, Ultron has returned to earth, and ruined it, using his superior technology to enslave the mankind. Certain villains do as Ultron commands and get higher privileges but at the end of the day Ultron rules. Most of the heroes live underground whilst thinking of a way to rid the world of Ultron. Amongst these heroes are Captain America, Luke Cage, Iron Man, and Emma Frost. Hawkeye is with them, but he's willing to go out into Ultron's world if it means saving his friends. The event follows the heroes plan to prevent Ultron from ever returning from the future, and the consequences of these actions.
That's the plot from the epic Marvel Comic book event, the most interesting point, movie wise, being the inclusion of X-Men characters. Of course they could write them out of it entirely...but...what if.... The real question is, with Days of Future past taking on the "time travel for the sake of preventing an apocalypse" theme, how will Joss Whedon pull this story off? Ohhh...many..many...many ways. The mind races with possibilities.

Update: Empire Magazine says "The title is 'borrowed' from the comic, but bears no relation to that arc." ...so I'd just expect a Terminator-esque story line! Terminators vs Avengers. I'm in.

Iron Man 3 Reviewed

New York City is still rebuilding after an attack from Loki and Alien forces, and the world at large is reeling from the knowledge that there are super powered beings among us. One of those heroes of New York is merely a man in a high tech suit, haunted by the enormity of those events and his place in it. As Tony Stark contemplates his frailty in the scheme of things, he compensates by creating a suit of armor for every conceivable threat or emergency, which leaves little time for sleep and healthy relationships.

Iron Man 3 opens on a haggard Tony Stark perfecting his 42nd suit of armor..one which will literally jump to his aid at his merest thought..which should tell you something about his mental state. The world has become a very dangerous place with The Mandarin threatening terrorist actions and our government getting nowhere with tracking him down or even plotting his next move. Luckily, we have War Machine, now repainted and renamed Iron Patriot, to defend us. Thrown into the mix is Aldrich Killian, a ghost from Tony's past who has remade himself into a slick rival and returned with a new technology that boasts the ability to upgrade our human abilities. Now the film evolves into a veritable game of chess. Tony becomes entangled in The Mandarin's plots and is also in the sights of Killian. Killian would add his genius to the scientific co-op dubbed A.I.M. (advanced idea mechanics), but if Tony were to refuse, The Mandarin might take him off the board completely, so it's a win win! The plot whizzes along with Tony struggling with his own personal eternal question;  "Is it the suit that makes the man..or the man that makes the suit", while his whole world explodes around him, leaving him more vulnerable than he has ever been. Iron Man and Iron Patriot must stop the Mandarin and reveal Killian's role in all this chaos before more innocents get caught in the crossfire.

Iron Man 3 Clip: Air Force One Rescue

I can't believe they gave even a PIECE of this scene away!! Leme set this up for you. The president is in danger. The Mandarin is making good on all his threats. Now, Air Force One is under attack and Iron Man is the only one equipped to intervene. Unfortunately, he has gotten there...a couple of minutes too late...

Iron Man 3 Clip "Since New York"

You're a rich man with a genius intellect that decided your life's calling is helping mankind. Soon after, it seems you aren't the only being on planet Earth capable of super human feats...and that's OK because the world can use all the help it can get. ...But with the heroes come villains and super science run amok and aliens threatening world domination and fiends sneering at your world through holes in your dimension. It's all a bit much to handle...so you lose yourself in the work. A maniac appears with flamethrower hands...you build a fire suit and extinguish him. A gang of thieves figure out how to walk through walls...you build a stealth suit and hover over the city, waiting for their next move. There will never be a shortage of men and women lining up to take what they think is theirs, and so you must be ready to stop them..but where does it end? It's a big question...and one that keeps Tony Stark up at night.

The First Teaser Trailer for Thor: The Dark World

YAY MARVEL WEEK!! We head off to slumber with images of a new Iron Man armor dancing through our heads (click here for the "Red Snapper" Mark XXXV) and awake to Thor swinging his hammer with Natalie Portman at his side. Here's what we've been told so far...

Marvel’s "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.  In the aftermath of Marvel’s "Thor" and "Marvel’s The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Iron Man Mark XXXV: The "Red Snapper"

Life is rough for a recovering army builder. I fell off the wagon a couple of weeks ago after seeing Goblins on sale for 2 dollars each. I now own 7 of them...and am itching to hunt for more. The key to an excellent toy army is just enough diversity in your troops to make it look like a proper mob,  without it being evident it's the same damn figure 50 times. To that end, there's probably nothing more appealing than Iron Man's Hall of Armors. Just think of it...an endless array of suit concepts, each one allowing for at least 3 to 4 repaints as time goes on, strapping on new accessories for a completely different look. The mind boggles at the possibilities. It seems Hot Toys is beginning to catch our particular ailment and today, gives us a brand new armor to drool over. Here's the latest from our friends across the water...

More Iron Man 3 Figures Surface

With an assist from Mighty Marvel_Freshman , my night of blissful slumber was ground to dust as a new Iron Man action figure mystery arose out of China. Ebay user bluesduff2008 appears to have...shall we say.."liberated" some new Iron Man 3 action figures fresh off the assembly line! Normally, we are very skeptical about these things, but after pouring over the pictures, we've found several signs these could be the real deal. First, there's the only description we've had so far of (seemingly) the ONLY 3 and 3 quarter inch Iron Man 3 figure line. **WARNING!! Spoilers Ahead!!**

Bring On the Iron Man 3 Merch!

**SPOILERS AHEAD!! DO NOT DIVE IN IF YOU DON'T WANT SOME ELEMENTS OF
IRON MAN 3 REVEALED!!**

As we stand perched on the edge of 2012, we stare into an abyss of possibility. One landing point includes aliens, flaming rocks and an earthquake that shifts the continents and makes that TOOL song a reality. The other...business as usual. People keep being crappy to each other, your government makes their apathy clear and we take comfort in our little plastics to make it all better. To that end, we'll take another dip into the Marvel Comics Universe, started in THIS ARTICLE where we sketched out plans for Avengers Assemble, Iron Man 3 and Ultimate Spider-Man toys, THIS ONE on the Wolverine movie toys and finally THIS ONE expanding on the Iron Man madness to come.

Now, we step back into Stark-tainted waters and focus on one toy that had die hard fans speculating about IM3 movie scenes and another that was a bit of a mystery for us...

The Iron Man 3 Trailer is LIVE

In Marvel's "Iron Man 3", brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr., is pitted against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
