Toy Fair 2016: Full Details on LEGO's Captain America: Civil War Sets

Sometimes there are news items that are have already been explored by the uber fans, but can be unfamiliar to the average person with geeky interests. LEGO's Marvel Super Heroes Captain America: Civil War building sets could be counted among these topics. Still, reporting on new news as it drops sometimes means you get bits of the story a little at a time, and so those that pop in later can combine all those bits into a fairly comprehensive report. Toy Fair 2014: Gentle Giant Takes on Marvel Comics

Toy Fair is an event for industry folks, retailers and press. Because of the exclusivity of the event, the toy loving public relies on the press to bring back the images and info that will keep them up nights, wondering how they will explain to their loved ones that they absolutely needed that 1:6th scaled Keaton Batman Batmobile for a paltry 900 dollars. Since Toy Fair exists on the internet for all of you at home, we said screw it, let's invite our friends who don't take the trip to New York to get in on the fun. ...And that's when Gentle Giant reps contacted me before I had the chance to email them. Toy Fair 2014: More Hasbro Releases! Falcon from Winter Soldier, Transformers and More

Was that massive news drop we launched last night enough to quench your thirst for new toy news from Hasbro??!! Yea..we didn't think so. Today we've got a few more bits to show off that you should see up for pre-order very soon. Let's dive right in.

We ran a HUGE article on all the fantastic Captain America: Winter Soldier toys, but there were certain characters kept under wraps for whatever reason. One of them was Falcon! Today we get a nice look at him in a format other than a kid's costume with sewn in abs.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Begins Production

Following in the footsteps of the record-breaking Marvel Studios’ release, “Marvel’s The Avengers,” production on the highly anticipated release, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” has commenced in Los Angeles, Calif., with production also including locations in Cleveland, Ohio, and Washington D.C. Directing the film is the team of Anthony and Joe Russo (“Welcome to Collinwood”) from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus (“Captain America: The First Avenger”) & Stephen McFeely (“Captain America: The First Avenger”). Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” returns Chris Evans (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Marvel’s The Avengers”) as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America, along with Scarlett Johansson (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Iron Man 2”) as Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Iron Man 2”) as Nick Fury. In addition, film icon Robert Redford has joined the all-star cast as Agent Alexander Pierce, a senior leader within the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release in the U.S. on April 4, 2014.
