Pre-orders are popping up all over the internet for a trio of 8 inch plush figures for the upcoming animated film including Jack Frost, North and Pitch. Not sure exactly what a "plush figure" is but I suppose we'll find out soon enough as San Diego Comic-Con is right around the corner.

Living Dead Dolls Series 24
Mezco continues their reign of the creepy cute doll planet with their mega popular Living Dead Dolls series! At Toy Fair, we saw their expansion into little cartoony figures which compliment the style while bringing a new format to the table. It's nice to see some evolution in the line and I'm sure new product is probably killer for the old school fans as well. This doesn't mean the original doll line that started it all has any signs of stopping. Today, we get a sneak preview of series 24 that is currently nameless. Mystereeeee...Living Dead Dolls series 24 includes...
Beelzebub,
Agrat-Bat-Mahlaht
Andras
Xezberth
Yuki Onna
With names like that, I'm sure we are in for some insane designs! I could be wrong, but I'd swear that second to last guy is wearing a bee costume. Look for them September 2012.

Toy Fair 2012 : Mezco Toys
We gave you a taste of Mezco's 2012 lineup in our Batman: The Dark Knight Rises rundown and a heaping dose of creepy in our Living Dead Dolls preview...and now...here's all the rest!! Dig it...Shall we take this alphabetically?
Cinema of Fear Creepy Cuddlers : The Plush Doll Lineup includes Freddy, Jason, Billy the SAW puppet and Chucky! We'll also see Mini Plush Clip-Ons with the same four creepers.
DC Universe Mez-itz : Well it's mostly Mini Mez-itz for the time being..or so it seems. We've seen the 2 packs before with Batman & Joker, Superman & Darkseid, Catwoman & Wonder Woman, Batman Beyond & Cyborg, The Flash & Captain Cold and Dr. Fate & The Demon Etrigan. Keychains are also on the way with The Joker, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman joining the Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises crews. Speaking of Batman, expect a 2 inch black suited Batman with the Batwing and a grey suited Batman with the Batmobile. Finally there are the 6 inch with The Flash, Wonder Woman, The Joker, Superman and Batman.

Domo : Collectible figures are on the way! We know Team Mezco are awesomely geeky so expect something new and fun in the future. Visuals show a punk rocker, Monty Python-ish British gentleman and a luciadore. Keep an eye out for a bobblehead and wind-ups as well!Earthworm Jim : 6 inch action figure on the way - Evildoers beware as Mezco brings the intergalactic hero Earthworm Jim to life as an articulated figure! Jim comes complete with a game accurate plasma blaster as well as his famous ultra-high-tech-indestructible-super-space-cyber-suit. The 6inch scale Earthworm Jim features 8 points of articulation. He comes complete not only with his plasma blaster, but with an alternate “bendy” unsuited worm body as well. Ships in july 2012. Mez is also dishing out a plush! Check out the pics HERE.

Little Big Planet : Series 4 Sackboy collectible figures are coming with some nice artistic designs, new facial expressions and characters including a cowboy, bunny, kung fu girl, cardboard robot and SATAN!!
Living Dead Dolls : You've seen Series 23, Hansel & Gretel, Rotten Sam & Sandy, Snow White & the Evil Stepmother, Chucky and a Universal Monsters Dracula. Now we get word of a bloody Toy Soldier and a second Universal Monster...FRANKENSTEIN!! You'll also see new mini figurines this year with Grace of the Grave, Schitzo, Damien, Walpurgis and Frozen Charlotte.
MARS ATTACKS!!! : Oh man...I love Mezco so much right now. The Mez will kick things off with an action figure of a standard Martian Soldier and a plush of the adorable little would be world conqueror. If these do well, I'm sure we'll see more so show your love with those pre-orders when the time comes!!
South Park : Not much new happening on this front. The license is practically an ever green, so Mez feels confident with keeping the 4 boys on the shelves and not take many further risks. There's the mini figure boxed set, the boys box set a Deluxe Talking Cartman and the one surprise..a Deluxe Talking Mr. Hankey..which seems to have been out before.
Spongebob Squarepants : Mezco takes a dip into the popular children's property with collectible figures including Mr. Krabs, Spogebob and Patrick for series 1 and a new Spongebob, Sandy and Squidward for series 2. Each figure features 7 pts of articulation. SpongeBob- Comes with display base, Krusty Krab hat, Krabby Patty, and spatula.Patrick- SpongeBob’s best pal comes with a jellyfish, a jellyfishing net, and a display base.
Mr Krabbs- SpongeBob’s cranky boss comes complete with alternate $ eyes, a miniature secret recipe bottle, and a display base.
We'll also see a line of 4 inch figures and a Bobblehead Spongebob!
Thundercats : The Classic Mega Deluxe Scale Action Figure line continues with Mumm-Ra dropping soon and Panthro up next! Featuring 7 points of articulation this mega Panthro figure is superbly detailed, perfectly capturing not only the iconic look of Panthro as he appeared in the classic television series, but the essence of Panthro as he proudly wields his nunchucks in defense of his comrades. He comes complete with an alternate open-pose left hand and his signature chained fighting sticks.Universal Monsters : Did you really think Mezco would get a dream license like Universal Monsters and JUST use it on Living Dead Dolls? Prepare for what appear to be stylized vinyl figures of the Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Mummy and Frankenstein as well as a Mega Deluxe Vinyl Frankenstein Figure! I...will start saving up for these NOW...and I want them all.
Zombie Creepy Cuddlers II : The cutest rotting squishables known to man are back with some new additions of a kitty, bunny and a dancing monkey!CLICK HERE for a look at the Living Dead Dolls Figurines and Toy Soldier, Creepy Cuddlers horror pack and the Universal Monsters figures!

Toy Fair 2012 : Dark Knight Rises Collectibles
Ready? We are about to show you every damn thing you can buy for The Dark Knight Rises... that we could get our hands on. Those paying attention have noticed the new Bat-suit with it's sleeker design and grey highlights (less biker..more scifi), but the merchandise seems to only feature this suit half the time. In the past, when a toy company gets a design wrong, it is usually because the licensor could not release the images requested in time for production, forcing the toy company to move ahead with their best approximation (which in this case is the Dark Knight Bat-suit.) We don't know if this is what happened, but take that bit of info into consideration as you peruse the goods below. For my money, if I want a Dark Knight Rises action figure, I'm looking for the new suit! Mattel has excellent sculptors and designers on call, so I'm not concerned about quality at all. Keep watch of our Toy Fair coverage after the show actually starts to see what else is on tap for their line. Just know that the Mattel images below are official...but someone could have made a mistake? Ya never know. LET'S BEGIN!!

SDCC: Mezco's Variant Limited Edition Lion-O
ONE MONTH!! In one month half of us will be wading through a sea of geek to score the most sought after toys of the year and the rest of us will be sitting at home ebaying our kidneys to buy those same prized items from the comfort of our well worn computer chairs. I love living in the future. This week we begin an "up close and personal" look at Mezco's summer exclusives. It is no exaggeration when I say Team Mez has put together a damn fine lineup this year with something for everyone. We kick things off with a piece that is sure to have folks lining up..you know..unless THUNDERCATS are suddenly out of fashion? Naaa..didn't think so.ThunderCats Ho!
Straight from the ThunderCats’ Lair on Third Earth, it’s Lion-O and the legendary mystic Sword of Omens.
This mega-scale figure measures over 20 inches tall from the tip of his upraised, extended sword to the soles of his Thunderian boots.
Featuring 7 points of articulation this mega figure is superbly detailed, perfectly capturing not only the iconic look of Lion-O as he appeared in the classic television series, but the essence, of Lion-O as he proudly raises the mystic Sword of Omens towards the heavens and roars out “Thundercats, Ho!”
This special Summer Exclusive Variant Edition features: *Interchangeable glowing eyes head and open mouth heads *Both Sword of Omens and short sword of Omens *Alternate left hand Claw Shield

Your giant Lion-O figure is rotocast (a hollow sort of casting process utilizing less plastic for a lighter, larger toy at an often excellent price), so you can smack someone upside the head with it and do damage while not breaking the toy. KEEN! (note: don't smack people with toys unless they are trying to steal them. Natch.) This also gives him a sturdy feel, unlike some figures today that break if you look at them cross eyed. The light weight plastic even allows easy transfer of swords without too much fear of paint rubbing off. Heads swap off and on very easily as well! I'm partial to the more stoic, glowing eyes head myself.
Articulation includes a ball jointed head and shoulders, swivel waist (somewhat impaired by the belt), and swivels at the mid-forearm and boot tops. Balance is excellent within seconds of set up, so Lion-O is not likely to take a dive off your shelf.Lion-O is packaged in a collector friendly window box that allows him to be displayed while remaining Mint In Box. This is a non-numbered limited edition item. Edition size TBD. $50
Limited Edition Variant Mega-Scale Lion-O will premiere at the world famous San Diego Comic Con, but is also available for pro-order at: http://www.mezcotoyz.com/store/Searc...CategoryID=155

Toy Fair 2011 : The Zombie Toypocalypse
(click the links for stacks of pics on our Flickr!)
McFarlane Toys have been the home for HALO action figures for some time now, but many of us remember then as the creators of Movie Maniacs, a line of 7 inch action figures celebrating the iconic, kill happy folks of film. Now the house that Todd built gets back to its bloody roots with The Walking Dead action figure lines based on both the original Image comic by Robert Kirkman and the AMC TV show. All figures are based on a 5 inch scale. Series 1 is a comic line with 2 humans and 2 zombies.. Rick Grimes, Michonne, Zombie Lurker and Zombie Roamer. The Human characters will have multiple points of articulation and multiple accessories. The Zombies will be less articulated but each will have a gorey play action feature. The Lurker will have removable intestines and popping off his upper torso makes him a Zombie Crawler! He's also got removable parts at the forearms, top of his head at the jaw line and such. The Zombie Roamer has a split open head (when you hit a lever on his back) sending blood and brains spewing out the top of his neck!! Series 2 is straight from the AMC TV show with another 2 humans and 2 zombies...Rick Grimes (sans hat and jacket with likeness of the actor, natch'), Daryl Dixon, Zombie Biter (the one eating the dear as played by FX Master Greg Nicotero ) and Zombie Walker (the one who I keep insisting looks like Zombie Brad Dourif/ the one that comes
Over to NECA whom I'm 80% positive were equally eager to unleash undead plastics, but have settled for Mini Busts instead! Three busts kick off the line with the crawling half-a-female zombie from the pilot episode, the Dourif bus zombie and the deer eating zombie. Full size busts and masks are a possibility in the future.
NOTE: Dread Central is now reporting the TV show will return this July. YAY TV Zombies!
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!! EMCE noted there was one glaring omission from our childhood mini figures of army men, cowboys and indians. ZOMBIES!! To rectify the situation, here comes a “Zombies Vs. Zombie Hunters” amy men set and glow-in-the-dark “Zombie Containment Units” (a toxic waste drum with 1 of 5 glow in the dark zombies in GID slime). On the other end
We round out our zombiepalooza with the company that does creepy cool like no other. MEZCO! Among the Living Dead Dolls and iconic screen baddies like Jason and Freddy were a small group of adorable rotting plush you won't be able to say no to. Zombie Creepy Cuddlers attack this September. You'll notice some areas where the plushy doll flesh has been stripped away, revealing corduroy to simulate musculature beneath! It's also worth noting that series 22 of the uber popular Living Dead Dolls seems to have a zombie theme with a tag line stating "When there's no more room in hell, dolls will walk the earth" below teaser art of little glowy eyed doll silhouettes stumbling through a darkened graveyard. Mezco also slipped a character named "Dawn" into their mini figurine line who looks a bit bitey, so keep your eyes peeled for her.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to mention our friends at Zombiezoo.com, whom I covered pre-toy fair at Dread Central.com but didn't ahve time to hit up at the big show. The ZOMBIEZOO family of fun loving animals includes Boo the black cat, the natural born leader of the group, and Stich, a pig obsessed with hygiene. Along with their friends, Muck (Monkey), Rob (Rabbit) and Toxic (Snake), original (large) Zombies stand at 12 to 15 inches high, are made of soft fleece and have a lovable “Frankenstein” quality of stitching adorning their bodies and over-sized heads. Zombie minis, replicas of their larger siblings, stand 4-5 inches tall and include a handy clip to attach to backpacks, clothing, etc. All ZOMBIEZOO characters are available online and at specialty retailers. Individual Zombie minis are available without the DVD for $7.00 and as a gift set with all of the minis plus the DVD for $34.99. Large Zombies include the DVD Story book and personality tag, which hang around the neck; suggested retail price is $20.99. The personality tags tell their compelling stories to anyone who is looking for a friend and cuddly character to bring home.McFarlane Toys Walking Dead Zombie Lurker Dismembered
