Scooby-Doo...WHERE ARE YOU??!! The cracked-voice yell echoes in my adult brain to this day after years logged watching the exploits of Mystery Incorporated as a kid. One might consider Scooby the gateway drug for horror fans! Despite the iconic, instantly recognizable characters and literal years worth of cartoons, the Scooby gang hasn't gotten much love from the toy industry, but Jada is about to change all that and nail down the perfect figures straight out of the gate. Wave 1 is up for pre-order now, with Shaggy, The Mummy and The Creeper leading the spine-chilling charge. Let's take a good long look before we throw money at the screen...

Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too!

Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo have to solve what may be their greatest mystery yet in Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too!, which will be available in the US to purchase Digitally at retailers everywhere, and on DVD only at Walmart on September 26, 2023 The all-new, feature-length film brings together the Scooby gang and DC for the first time.

In Canada Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too! will be available to purchase Digitally on September 26, 2023 and on DVD October 24, 2023 at retailers everywhere.

NYCC 2022: Handmade By Robots Pushes the Cuteness Boundaries

Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! on DIGITAL October 4th & DVD October 18th

Scooby-Doo fans are truly blessed. I can't recall a time in the last 10 years when there weren't a constant stream of interesting and show-accurate toys on store shelves and, to the delight of all collectors, they were cheap too! Basic Fun continues the party train of Scooby merch with their lines based on the new animated movie, due to hit next month, if all goes to plan.

As luck would have it, Character Toys have just re-released their Scooby action figure line in incredibly affordable 2 packs starring the Scoobies paired with creepy bad guys I did not own yet, all for 6 dollars each. Not a deal I could pass up! With a NECA box of terrors delivered at lightning speed, all that was left was to set the stage, and the Big Kid Toy Store at the New Egypt Flea Market just happened to provide all the supernatural looking settings I needed. Get Ready for a Scooby-Doo / Supernatural Crossover!!

No, this is not the Onion. The Onion would suggest the Supernatural gang is taking over Mystery Incorporated or some such in a bid to boost ratings for the flailing kid's cartoon enterprise and make it grittier for modern audiences... WHICH IS PROBABLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW IN THE PAGES OF DC COMICS!!! I won't read that comic. You can't make me. What's NOT a joke is that we are getting an animated adventure in an upcoming episode of Supernatural's 13th season.

Boomerang Launches as Cartoon Streaming Destination

Time Warner’s Turner and Warner Bros. announced today they have partnered on a new standalone domestic premium video subscription service – Boomerang – that will launch in the Spring. This will be the first time the two companies have offered the massive Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes and MGM animation library of over 5,000 titles on a streaming platform. Boomerang will provide audiences instant and exclusive access to both brand-new original series and timeless franchises like Scooby Doo, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, The Jetsons and The Flintstones among many others. Launching with a vast number of episodes, new content will be added weekly for kids, families and animation lovers of all ages to enjoy.

Everything old is new again!! Toy Fair 2017 will echo that promise, as Toy Fairs have for years. You can bet anything that triggers a fond memory from the populace at large will always be considered for a re-vamp, re-imagining or just a straight up re-release! With the recent return of Stretch Armstrong (what ever happened to the movie??!!), we can assume toy companies began looking into our beloved stretch-technology to see if there might be a way to improve on the design so that, perhaps, 10 years from now, the modern stretch toys won't disintegrate in our hands (RIP Vacman. Toy Fair 2013 : Character's Doctor Who, Scooby-Doo & More

OK we are going to fly through this article because I'm juggling 3 jobs including Toy Fair coverage for Idle Hands and I don't want to leave any UK Toy Fair coverage unpublished!!  Of course that means digging through some more somewhat fuzzy pictures if only for the sake of allowing those die hard collectors out there spot the things they've never seen before and droooool...and then demand better pictures of course. You're so needy. Let's just zip right through this, shall we?

SO! All of this info is just going to be me babbling about the pictures as the gentleman who sent them over took no notes and said he was lucky to be allowed to shoot any pictures at all only after mentioning there were pictures everywhere already. Smart boy that one. We'll kick things off with Doctor Who as Character Options celebrates the 50th Anniversary with Brit flag emblazoned Daleks and Limited Edition Iconic Scenes Collector Sets..which is a fancy name for PLAYSETS!!!  Yes, my friends, companies seem to finally be catching on that we demand environments in which we can make pew pew noises like we did when we were wee lil ones. Sure, they seem like just cardboard dioramas, but we'll take what we can get. Baby steps.
