Vampires have lurked and plotted in the shadows of the Marvel Universe for decades. This May, they make their move in BLOOD HUNT, the upcoming Marvel Comics crossover event that sees the world plunged into eternal darkness!

BLOOD HUNT will unfold gloriously across a main series by Jed MacKay, Pepe Larraz, and Marte Gracia, as well as various limited series, one-shots, and tie-in issues. Like other classic Marvel crossover events, BLOOD HUNT has been naturally building over the last few years in various titles, especially MacKay’s hit runs on Moon Knight, Avengers, and Doctor Strange. The stakes are higher than ever as the vampire legions of earth unite for the first time in millennia and launch an invasion that will profoundly affect your favorite heroes. A She-Hulk Toy Appreciation Post (Gallery Inside!)

She-Hulk Appreciation Action Figure Shoot 023
The Single Green Female run of She-Hulk is one of my favorite comic runs of all time. The subject matter hits on all levels for me. You get an exploration of Marvel's New York City that goes beyond the doors of the Avengers Mansion or the Baxter Building, showing villains and heroes alike just trying to live in their respective worlds. When the full weight of the American Judicial System comes down on either side, Jennifer Walters is there to defend the superpowered in a story that is borderline genius, but more often than not, also highly comedic. The world is ridiculous, so it stands to reason it would be 100x more in the powered community.

Reporting for Duty at the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Exhibition in New York City

We don't get paid much, and our accolades are few, but there are PERKS to writing for tiny little geeky websites! One such perk is being invited to fun happenings in the tri state area..and you'd better believe the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Exhibition was on our radar from the first second they announced it was in the works, so when they said COME ON DOWN...we practically lined up that night.

The exhibition had a bit of a rocky start, from a number of perspectives. A call for press to come on a preview night got the attention of our excellent photographer Galaxia Siandre, who arrived ready to take a bazillion pictures and play with all the buttons. ALL THE BUTTONS. Sadly, half the displays didn't seem to be active yet and the ones that were were swamped by children in an already over crowded venue, so Galaxia shot what she could, grabbed an official SHIELD cupcake (damn good bakers that save the world I suppose) and headed back home.

NYCC 2013: Friday's Prime Marvel Comic Panels & More in Andrew's Day 1 Diary

NYCC ‘13 Floor Journal Part 1
By Andrew O’Brien

Friday October 11th- I awoke for my first day of New York Comic Con after only three hours of sleep, alert and ready for…well.. actually grumpy and wanting to go back to bed. But the clock was ticking and I had to make that (for no good reason) 11 o’clock in the morning Amazing X-Men panel. By the time I arrived in Penn Station, nerds had fully infested the city like a zombie plague, and yes, there were even some zombies. So I did what I always do (and if it’s your first time this is a helpful hint), I followed the nerds to the Javitz Center. It’s a short walk and if the weather is bearable, there’s no reason to pay for a cab or wait for the shuttle. I arrived at the Javitz Center, spent probably around 10 minutes looking for the panel room (since they like to shuffle the landscape around randomly) and was ready to..wait in line for like ...45 minutes. But then it was panel time.

SDCC 2013: And the Next Avengers Movie is Titled...

From ComicVine: Set in an apocalyptic future, Ultron has returned to earth, and ruined it, using his superior technology to enslave the mankind. Certain villains do as Ultron commands and get higher privileges but at the end of the day Ultron rules. Most of the heroes live underground whilst thinking of a way to rid the world of Ultron. Amongst these heroes are Captain America, Luke Cage, Iron Man, and Emma Frost. Hawkeye is with them, but he's willing to go out into Ultron's world if it means saving his friends. The event follows the heroes plan to prevent Ultron from ever returning from the future, and the consequences of these actions.
That's the plot from the epic Marvel Comic book event, the most interesting point, movie wise, being the inclusion of X-Men characters. Of course they could write them out of it entirely...but...what if.... The real question is, with Days of Future past taking on the "time travel for the sake of preventing an apocalypse" theme, how will Joss Whedon pull this story off? Ohhh...many..many...many ways. The mind races with possibilities.

Update: Empire Magazine says "The title is 'borrowed' from the comic, but bears no relation to that arc." ...so I'd just expect a Terminator-esque story line! Terminators vs Avengers. I'm in.

Agent Coulson Meets Lil Agent Coulson

It never fails. Show an action figure to the person the toy is made after and a look of childlike glee spreads across their face. Well..it did fail once. I was at the press junket for The Amazing Spider-Man and was able to bring Andrew Garfield together with his first ever likeness on an action figure in the Diamond Select Minimates line. He seemed...less than enthusiastic. Never the less, we expected no small amount of ridiculous cheer from Clark Gregg as he held his Hot Toys 12 inch action figure for the first time. Hot Toys sent over some words on the meeting...

Ultimate Spider-Man Marvel Team Up Clips

Love it or leave it, it seems the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon isn't going anywhere for the foreseeable future. His world is only a couple of steps away from the Mighty Marvel Cinematic Universe, and so, you must suck up all those moments where Spidey turns into a fat lil Spidey and hide your tears over the loss of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I'M STILL NOT GETTING OVER THIS!!! Today, Marvel sends over a couple of clips from upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man episodes, and while he is perpetually teamed up with his hodgepodge teen super team, these clips show your favorite wall crawler going back to back with members of the Marvel elite. MARVEL TEAM UP!
