Just getting over a wicked illness that caught me at the very start of Toy Fair 2017. I held out for as long as I could and posted quite a bit of our images before I had to take a breather...but now we are BACK and i'm looking forward to showing you all the awesome toys coming your way over the next year. We head back into the thick of it with Just Play's MadBalls. We showed you Series 1 and our new reviewer Jackson covered those blind bags with as much enthusiasm as one could muster...without thumbs. Now we'll take a look at the standard sized balls series 2 and the next wave of blind bags!

These days, there are a lot of what we call "casual collectors". While these folks may have significant collections, they just sort of wander through a toy show looking for non-specific things that spark the heart bubbles above their heads, taking them back to their childhood where Saturday morning cartoons ruled all. Just as the sellers at toy shows strive to fill their tables with flashbacks, toy companies have caught on and are actively seeking out 80's and 90's properties to transform the retail aisles into way back machines. The most fantastic thing about the times we live in is the fact that there seems to be a multitude of ways to live out our dreams. Case in point; The Four Horsemen. Big Chief takes center stage as our Toy Fair 2017 coverage continues with Matt Booker of JediNews, UK Toy Fair and a topic often visited by folks across the pond. The worlds of Gerry Anderson are hard to forget, populated by puppets with faces ranging from heroic to nightmare fuel. Not surprisingly, my earliest and only recollections of the Anderson's work were flashes of insanity from a TV show called Terrahawks. That show makes the phrase "can not unsee" an understatement. When you think of the awesome product produced for your favorite comic books, you may not usually think of Schleich. Schleich makes you think of Smurfs...real talk. And dinosaurs maybe. And fairies attacking castles that cost a pretty penny but you had to have it because that castle was AMAZING. Don't judge. Never the less, Schleich made some noise in the last couple of years with the release of Justice League figures and then Batman V Superman: The Quest for Martha. We are so heavy into Toy Fair 2017, with news coming from multiple continents to the point where I'm starting to not even question where it's coming from. If it's fun, we are going to run it and then move onto the next thing because THERE ARE 500 NEXT THINGS!! Today we got a bit of news that, while not groundbreaking, is still fun, and all about giant frakking robots.

Those that follow Hollywood film projects know that it's not unusual for a production company to give a project a code name as to mask their filming info from prying eyes..and cameras. In recent years, this practice has been creeping every so slightly into the toy world...and today, it seems to be out in full force. We've got a small pile of Transformers: The Last Knight movie toy listings, complete with TOP SEKRET CODE NAMES!!! Intrigue. While it won't help you to begin your drooling over the movie toys, it may give you an idea of how broke you'll be, should they ultimately not be trash. (please don't be trash)

We've been tipped off by Marvelousnews (via Facebook) about a "rumored" batch of Marvel legends listings. We were familiar with the website they named as the source so we did a little digging and found the listings. Since retailers aren't in the habit of listing things for sale that don't exist, we are going to call this one confirmed! Time will tell I suppose, but really, why list if it's not real? Toy Fair 2017: More LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 Images!

Global Toy Fair 2017 coverage is in FULL RAGE MODE!! Now with news coming in from the UK x3, the US and Germany simultaneously...suffice to say...we've got a lot to sort through daily! Today, we head back over to the seedy side of the galaxy to visit with our favorite bunch of A holes as they prepare to team up with the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe ...but first..they've got another solo adventure on the way. Our last visit with the Guardians of the Galaxy revealed LEGO sets and an animated series themed toy line. Now we head back into the bricks to show you the super fun art that often accompanies each LEGO set, but is generally only appreciated by die hard fans. We've added it to the pics we showed previously just to have it all in one place. DIG IT!!

Toy Fair 2017: Character Group Stretch Figures for Disney, DC Comics and Doctor Who

Everything old is new again!! Toy Fair 2017 will echo that promise, as Toy Fairs have for years. You can bet anything that triggers a fond memory from the populace at large will always be considered for a re-vamp, re-imagining or just a straight up re-release! With the recent return of Stretch Armstrong (what ever happened to the movie??!!), we can assume toy companies began looking into our beloved stretch-technology to see if there might be a way to improve on the design so that, perhaps, 10 years from now, the modern stretch toys won't disintegrate in our hands (RIP Vacman. I lovded youuu). Now Character Group is showing off a mini army of 7 inch stretching heroes to wrap around the hearts of a new generation. M@ Hawkins brings us the eye candy...

Continuing our Toy Fair 2017 coverage, we hop back over to M@ Hawkins who had a fairly quick visit with Character Group in search of the newest in Time Lord accessories, weaponry and icons (aka ACTION FIGURES!!) From the look of Character's compact display (which was not bigger on the inside), one might assume the company is winding things down with the license? Maybe we are jumping to conclusions, but it's worth a discussion. Let's take a look at what was on hand and see if our tentative assumption isn't warranted...

Toy Fair 2017: Jazwares on RWBY Action Figures

Back into the Toy Fair 2017 coverage with Axel Manasco in the UK who happened upon our friends at Jazwares who had the usual Minecraft and Tube heroes alongside more Danger Mouse toys, and hidden amidst it all were new action figures for RWBY! The American animated web series heavily influenced by Anime is getting at least three new action figures this year including Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee and Yang Xiao Long. While two of the items on display are mock ups of packaging with paper inserts, Yang is an actual action figure prototype, so you can get an idea of what the articulation will be like...and she appears to be pretty posable! Dive in for the eye candy...

Toy Fair 2017: Thinkway Continues Their 2 Million Minion March with Despicable Me 3

Toy Fair 2017 coverage continues with another update from Axel Manasco who risked his life wading into an ocean of little yellow people that could possibly turn cannibal at any moment!! We kid of course. There are no known cases of cannibalism among the Minions...or Minion on human ..chewing...that we know of. Thinkway's UK representatives put out quite the spread with Minions of every conceivable shape and size, from tiny blind bag figures to spinning wind-ups to action figures, talking plush, squishy plush...plushy squishy plush...dancing Minions, walking Minions and Minions on little stages you attach to other Despicable Me characters so they can dance around in unison to music!!! It is, indeed, a magical time. Of course this year's crop of lil yellow people centers around Despicable Me 3, so you'll find some new outfits, accessories and characters specific to the new film.
