Around the holidays, you'd have been hard pressed to find even a single Monster High doll at retail. Fans began to get fed up with seemingly poor distribution and lack of product available even online, leading Toys R Us to post signs that you would only be allowed to buy limited amounts of product as it came in; an effort to stem the tide of scalpers buying an entire shipment in one go most likely. In the early months of 2012, product began creeping back to shelves and though Toys R Us attempted to fill that black hole of product anticipation with heaps of an exclusive Black and White doll, in time, even that has disappeared from shelves.
