Sir Edward Grey: Acheron - Written and Illustrated by Mike Mignola

For the first time in five years, legendary Hellboy creator Mike Mignola is both writing and illustrating a full length comic book, one which provides the next chapter in the fabled Hellboy Universe. Titled Sir Edward Grey: Acheron, the one shot story is set following the events of B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know, in which the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense managed to fight off the monsters on earth long enough for humanity to barely escape underground. The story is Mignola’s first full length comic book since Dark Horse Comics published Hellboy in Hell in 2016; here he reunites with award-winning colorist Dave Stewart, as well as letterer and longtime collaborator Clem Robbins. Dark Horse Comics will publish Sir Edward Grey: Acheron this winter, featuring a main cover by Mignola and Stewart and a variant cover by acclaimed artist Ben Stenbeck and Stewart.

Middle Earth Ultimate Collector’s Edition Arrives on 4K October 26

Celebrate 20 years of adventure and friendship as Warner Bros. releases the Middle-Earth Ultimate Collector’s Edition, timed to the 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.  The 31-disc Ultimate Collector’s Edition of Peter Jackson’s Middle-earth saga contains new special features along with the theatrical and extended versions of all sic films in 4K Ultra HD and on Blu-ray discs remastered from the 4K master. The Ultimate Collector’s Edition will be released on October 26.

Beehive Books Announces Mike Mignola’s Illustrated Edition of Pinocchio

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and Beehive Books are collaborating on an all-new illustrated edition of Carlo Collodi’s classic novel Pinocchio, featuring a cover and illustrations by Mignola and award-winning colorist Dave Stewart. The project, which will be coming to Kickstarter next year, was announced timed to Mignola’s appearance at LightBox Expo Online.  Mignola will be exhibiting two pieces from Beehive Books’s Illuminated Edition of Pinocchio at his virtual artist alley booth at LightBox Expo Online, which runs from September 7th through Sunday, September 12th. 

“Pinocchio has been one of my two favorite books (along with Dracula) for as long as I can remember,” said Mignola. “It’s shaped the way I write and the way I think. It's got everything — amazingly strange humor as well as surprising flashes of surreal horror and violence — and tackling it has been a challenge. I’m thrilled to team with Beehive book for this. Amazon Prime Video Debuts Teaser Trailer for The Wheel of Time

Amazon Prime Video today released the official teaser trailer for the upcoming fantasy series The Wheel of Time, based on the best-selling book series. The first three episodes of Season One will premiere Friday, November 19, with new episodes available each Friday following, leading up to the season finale on December 24.

The Wheel of Time is one of the most popular and enduring fantasy series of all time, with more than 90 million books sold. Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers.
