Sadako vs Kayako - The Ring vs The Grudge Trailer

It's the battle you never knew you wanted to see!! The throaty mistress of staircase crawling versus the teen titan of TV swimming!! LET'S GET IT ON!! This trailer is, indeed, as ridiculous as you would think it is, and we only hope the actual film goes waaaay further to crank up the truly sell out nature of this concept. Honest to God, I want every room the characters go to to mysteriously have a VCR in it even though kids today probably wouldn't even know what to do with one. Hey, it's more believable than the initial premise of the VHS movies. Monsters who transfer their kills to a dead media format. SPOOOOOKY!! You'll note the Freddy vs Jason-esque vibe of the trailer, assuring the potential viewer this will be a quality fright fest. LET'S WATCH!!

If the only way forward is to go back, then “clone club” is in for a wild ride. Sarah, Alison, Cosima, and Helena (all played by Maslany) have finally settled into some sense of normalcy after a dramatic third season. Sarah has been reunited with her foster mum Mrs S. (Maria Doyle Kennedy), daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler) and the clone original, Kendall Malone (Alison Steadman) at an Icelandic hideout; Alison is enjoying the spoils of the drug trade with husband Donnie (Kristian Bruun) and helping the once rabid Helena settle into domesticity; and Cosima is hard at work on a cure for her illness with lab partner Scott (Josh Vokey). We find Sarah’s battle-worn foster brother Felix (Jordan Gavaris) accepting that he’s been left behind, and trying to pick up the pieces of his life post “clone gate,” while Rachel (Maslany), the clever self-aware clone is reunited with her “mother,” Susan Duncan (Rosemary Dunsmore) and attempting a reconciliation. But peace and calm seldom last long with this lot, and Sarah’s hard won tranquility is disrupted when she receives a call that thrusts her right back in harm’s way.  A mysterious ally tied to Beth (Maslany), the clone whose suicide first led Sarah to discover her new sisters, brings Sarah back to where it all started. She’ll follow Beth’s footsteps into a dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy, heading in a horrifying but familiar direction.

The Housing Market Will KILL YOU in The Maiden

Some horror films are cut and dry with simple themes of good and evil fighting for a foothold in our world. Others raise questions of morality. In The Maiden, we meet a real estate agent who would stand up to the terrors of a homicidal supernatural entity just to make a sale! In today's economy, that's 100% believable, though you'll agree her choice of cleaning attire may not be. SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF!!

Michael Chaves wrote and directed the original short. The story was inspired by the real estate crash a few years ago. “I was fascinated by how corrupt it was,” said Chaves. “I’ve always loved haunted house stories, but I wanted some kind of a twist. I started wondering ‘what happens before the young family moves in? How was someone able sell something so evil?’ Dive in and watch for yourself...

Animaniacs: Out of the Tower and Going On TOUR!

Lets face it...Cable TV is expensive. Because of this glaring fact, most people I know have Netflix to fill the half hour when they aren't working...which is why news of new additions to the streaming service always echoes across the webiverse. Recently, Animaniacs was added to the Netflix lineup...and the people rejoiced. Now, the New York Times (via Nerdist) is reporting the original voice actors are taking the incredibly infectious songs of the Animaniacs on the road with a live orchestra to back them up.

Misfits & Marvel's Cloak and Dagger Coming to Freeform/ABC Family

The latter part of that title is fairly important I think, as a show premiering on ABC Family would be squeaky clean, no? I could be wrong, but it's something worth noting, especially for a show like Misfits that was known for its sex, drugs and foul mouthed action (all of which, I was quite happy with!) Beyond that, more Marvel on TV is always AWESOME!! I'd say i'm at least minimally aware of Cloak and Dagger's history in the Marvel Comics Universe, as they popped up often in Spider-Man..fought alongside the Avengers..and i'm sure I saw them running with the X-Men and/or New Mutants once or twice. Not being A or even B list characters, it will be interesting to see what Marvel villains this production is allowed to fold into their universe. Another question...would they be Inhumans rather than Mutants and so, tied to the Agents of SHIELD TV show? We'll know soon enough!

Dear Hollywood: Critics Can Be Fans Too

**Spoilers mixed in here so beware!**

There's an odd disconnect in this country. I see it in two places primarily. One is when people talk about celebrities or people they perceive as celebrities. There is an accepted level of badmouthing and ridicule that happens when speaking about these individuals in very public places...never mind that the internet makes the world so small that the subject of these talks can usually see the postings...and that not all "celebrities" are off boating in Spain, using 100's to light their cigars...and the small fact that the individual is human with feelings. In a world so hellbent on shielding disenfranchised folks from the cruelty of bullies, we sure do have double standards for if and when that protection comes into play. The other point of disconnect is with "critics", who are spoken of as if they are a race of creatures separate from the bipedal ruling class of the planet Earth. These beings spout baseless opinion, often agreeing with each other as the winds of trend dictate, spreading falsehood and furthering an agenda to crush films they unanimously decide are unworthy. This is all ridiculous, of course, but read the comments across the internet pointing to reviews of the recent, reigning box office champion Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and you'll see it's not far from what some people are saying.

Justice League vs Teen Titans Reviewed

by Saniyat Choudhury
Justice League vs. Teen Titans is another solid entry in the DC Animated Universe. The story is well paced, the acting is great, and the movie always manages to strike a lively, light tone while keeping that serious edge.
The plot revolves around Robin (Damian Wayne), as he is forced to join the Teen Titans to learn teamwork and get his attitude in check.  As Robin butts heads, and eventually bonds with the rest of the Titans, a mysterious force slowly starts possessing the Justice League. What follows is an action-packed adventure as the Titans must do battle with a Justice League under the control of an evil entity.

Andrew WK Forms The Party Party

Yes, it is April 1st...but no..this looks legit.

Andrew W.K. has long stood for the uplifting and unifying power of positive partying. He will continue this tradition in an area that needs it desperately - governmental politics - with the formation of a new political party, The Party Party - where his goal is, "to remove the disillusioning aspects of politics and just have the party."
