Never before has a trailer for a video game said so much without blowing up half a city. We see examples of the game's amazing graphics through a shuddering hand forced to steady itself. We marvel at beautiful art direction as a subtle breeze flows through a window and rustles items as it passes. The painstaking attention to detail...the thousands upon thousands of textures and colors all poured into a painting come to life...and a vengeful song made somewhat sweet in the careful way it is performed, as if a siren's call to jagged rocks ahead. This is the moment a medium often dismissed as frivolous causes critics to sit up and pay attention. When the result is simply art. Mark the day.

The Last Of Us Part 2 Trailer Will Make You Weep
These days, it's not incredibly difficult to create a video game trailer that will bring a crowd to their feet cheering and laughing and celebrating even with a year + to the title's release. Video game fans are vocal and enthusiastic and when they see something they like, they lose their damn minds. On the other hand, it is far more rare to watch a trailer play and know it will cause massive crowds of gamers to fall dead silent. Last Of Us Part 2 did just that today.
