Modern Marvel Select Thanos Action Figure Surfaces

Popping up at the London, UK Disney Store, eagle eyed Luke Spicer spotted a new modern Marvel Comics styled Thanos hanging on the pegs. No fanfare?? NO TRUMPETS??!! Luke took to social media to show off his find and was immediately bombarded with a billion questions...most of which he couldn't answer, save for thinking the figure might be "underscaled", unlike the most recent Ragnarok Gladiator Hulk release which is MASSIVE. Clearly, we can see this Thanos does not take up a ton of space in the packaging...so that's something we'll have to explore when someone gets their hands on the figure itself. Not being overly impressed with the size, Luke left his find behind.


Diamond Select has declined to comment on the figure, so we are left to our own devices.

Folks had suggested this might be a custom, but the California native sculptor responsible for the work has already claimed it as his own, pointing out there is a helmet-off head in the upper rt corner and that Thanos is, indeed, wearing the Infinity Gauntlet already.

We've also gotten word the figure popped up in the Guardians of the Galaxy store (we assume that's at Disney World in California, referring to the shop next to the ride). It's been suggested it is a Disney Parks Exclusive here in the states, but it's more likely it's a Disney Store exclusive.

We did a scale test with measurements based on the marvel select packaging. You'll note the logo in the upper left square up and the top of the bit that crosses the bottom of the package  is in line, so this should scale closely?? Still, this seems WAAAY small for a Select figure, but I guess we'll find out soon enough!
