TOXIE TEAM-UP Trade Paperback Rearing Its Ugly Head

With a new film in 2025 and a long-awaited video game coming in 2026, the Toxic Avenger is hot! AHOY’s first TOXIE graphic novel hit stores like a rocket in 2025, and this companion volume sees the “hero from New Jersey” meet up with a surprise lineup of comic stars.

Next Wednesday January 28, acclaimed Syracuse-based comic book publisher AHOY Comics will publish TOXIE TEAM-UP, the trade paperback collection of the latest comic book adventure for the legendary Toxic Avenger from the Troma Films cult classic films. 

Following Matt Bors and Fred Harper’s acclaimed revival of the character in 2024, the ambitious mini-series found Toxie rubbing elbows with characters from a number of other fan-favorite AHOY titles: Jesus Christ (from Mark Russell and Richard Pace’s controversial SECOND COMING), the Jersey Devil (from the creature-packed anthology PROJECT: CRYPTID), Acid Chimp (from Russell, Bryce Ingman and Peter Krause’s absurdly hilarious MY BAD), Dragonflyman and Stinger (from Tom Peyer and Jamal Igle’s multiversal saga THE WRONG EARTH), and Swamp Cop and Schitt (the crooked mutant cops from Bors' and Ben Clarkson's sensational satire JUSTICE WARRIORS).
