Capstone, a leading publisher of children’s books and digital products and services, will feature some of the best in kids’ comics and super hero books at San Diego Comic-Con International, July 24-27. In celebration of “Batman Day” on July 23, Capstone will mark the 75thanniversary by showcasing many of its most popular BATMAN books in the Capstone booth. Highlights from
Capstone’s schedule at booth 1316 include a raffle for original artwork from the Eisner nominated title Here I Am, free samplers of Jellaby, special author and illustrator appearances, and DC Comics Super Hero giveaway items, such as book bags, posters, and postcards.
Capstone will hold a drawing for original artwork from the 2014 Eisner nominated Here I Am by Patti Kim, illus. by Sonia Sánchez. Celebrated for its poignant story and bold illustrations, the emotional, wordless narrative follows a child’s immigration journey to the United States. The New York Times calls it “winsome” and praises the artwork, “the images vibrate with energy and detail.”
