Hot and still practically in flames (like a dumb vampire streaking in the morning sun) off their LONGLEGS success, Osgood Perkins and the NEON crew drop a teaser for their next nightmare-inducing cinematic feast. It's a little tale by Stephen King called THE MONKEY. Mostly known as a short story in King's collection "Skeleton Crew", the chiller involves the well-known and often feared cymbal-banging money toy we've all run from when discovered on the shelves at Good Will, wedged between a hairless Barbie and a fat bag of Power Rangers Movie Happy Meal toys. In this instance, the already horrific monkey is discovered by two brothers in an attic. The twist? THIS MONKEY IS CURSED!!! As expected, wackiness (and time jumping) ensues as the monkey's history with this particular family unfolds and a respectable death toll mounts.
With a release date of February 21, 2025, there's not much more than a teaser to speak of at the moment, but with Perkins at the wheel and our creep master buddy James Wan wearing the producer hat, you can expect a freaky good time!
